If South's goalie was MOM then that suggests that the score might have just as easily been 3-3.

To suggest the score might have been 9-1 is either jocular or arrogant.

Just because a team gets offside 11 times to 1 does not suggest some sort of attacking dominance it just means they got offside a lot - in this case mostly just inside the attacking half.Captainhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14709785366661636583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3290088887405022587.post-39263468524743413162009-04-27T20:39:00.000+10:002009-04-27T20:39:00.000+10:00Dang! obviously missed a good game & good crow...Dang! obviously missed a good game & good crowd on Anzac Day.
The match stats are interesting – the score/corner count suggests that when South weren’t actually putting them in the net then CU were battling to keep them out. South must have struggled out of their half on the odd occasion.
Apparently “a game of two halves” & either CU are very well versed in the offside trap or South need an awful lot of work on their positioning.
Sure all coaches are a tad biased towards their own sides – how else would we have it! Also the best crack of the day would have to be A Brown’s old adage about scoring and winning games. I’m a new convert but if there's a way of winning a match without scoring, can someone let me know. Maybe there’s a subtlety that evades me?
Sam K must have played a cracker & serious talent on the South bench.
If that’s cracks, we’ll take them.Greg Ludfordhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13017731311835002868noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3290088887405022587.post-57414565656559443422009-04-26T21:06:00.000+10:002009-04-26T21:06:00.000+10:00south might need to do some shadow play to get the...south might need to do some shadow play to get the offside count down.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3290088887405022587.post-13614554998846616472009-04-26T21:05:00.000+10:002009-04-26T21:05:00.000+10:00Thanks Walter for the report, it allows us to take...Thanks Walter for the report, it allows us to take everything the coaches said into context. I agree with Ril. Andrew's comments seem to reflect what walter has written while ken's comments semm to be ..well exagerated at best.
Having spoken to a few who saw the game today Kens comment on the end score could be right...if clarence had taken their chances early the score might have been 9-1 or 9-2 to Clarence but never to South Hobart . Like Andrew said " cracks"The Phoenixhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05127217306347316874noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3290088887405022587.post-29417957387160730582009-04-26T15:53:00.000+10:002009-04-26T15:53:00.000+10:00I noticed that as well Tommy, although going by th...I noticed that as well Tommy, although going by the stats and Walter's review it looks like Brown gave the more honest comments and isn't as one-eyed.

Looking at the roster, I'm surprised that they're playing 6.30pm games all through Winter at Wentworth. There's going to be some cold nights amongst them, it will be interesting to see how the crowds go. Pity they don't (can't?) have a second-story addition to the clubrooms ala Olinda Grove for some sheltered viewing.Rilhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13212689709337362322noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3290088887405022587.post-10100816513921670492009-04-26T15:05:00.000+10:002009-04-26T15:05:00.000+10:00This comment has been removed by the author.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10317960377194342061noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3290088887405022587.post-69463440429111799512009-04-26T12:55:00.000+10:002009-04-26T12:55:00.000+10:00Some contrasting opinions on how the game went fro...Some contrasting opinions on how the game went from the coaches.
