  1. Lions most over rated team of 2025 by far .

    1. I think you mean underrated. Everyone thinks they’re no good and yet they continue to get results.

Looks like with a very lean squad they might finish top 3

    2. But they got a big crowd once

    3. Stupid comment. Lions will finish 3rd. Very respectable. Would much rather be a lions supporter than United or riverside or Clarence

    4. Over rated?? Are they highly rated? Who by? They’d be happy knowing they were highly rated I reckon

    5. Yea only good sides beat Launceston United 1-0 .

    6. Borough season has not been rated third is much better then a draw to clarence

    7. Surely the lions took a team photo after that win yesterday.

    8. Most of the comments on this site reminds me of a 12yo bitchfest. The only thing worth reading are the scores and match reports.

  2. City never had a hope relying on Riverside who are complete rubbish

  3. Riverside are woeful, we get on launnie United’s back but boy riverside just as bad, spend a load of cash $$ the ex-United boys must be on a heap plus Gedi’s luxury pay packet. But wow they are poor.

  4. Oh by the way – South Hobart became champions of the NPL 2025 tonight! Congratulations to Max Clark and his coaching team into the South Hobart players and supporters.

    1. Congrats South. With the team you had, I’m surprised you didn’t win the league earlier

    2. What happened to their women

    3. Congrats South, a class outfit that turned it on when needed - good luck representing Tassie in the Australian Championship

  5. Oh Devonport how you have fallen

    1. It’s incredible isn’t it? I know I’ve lost sleep over it.

    2. You would think they would find the motivation for their retiring skippers 300th. Serious problems will be an interesting offseason

      Delete
    3. Unfortunately they have put most of there attention in complaining about every referee decision. Yet they would have way more penalties than any other side including those above them.

    4. Serious problems? You must know all. Please tell.

  6. Welcome to the Murphy era , expect zebras to win the league with 4 games to go next year

    2. Seriously this got him in to trouble at Knights !

Coaches should stay of social media and blogs its always a dangerous game .

  7. Riverside had some good youngsters coming through. What happened?

    1. Riverside have never won anything and thought they could keep buying a new team including United’s imports to finish in top half for once. But history repeats and they a shambles yet again. No club pride losing by 7 goals at home.

    2. There 21s team has regressed just as much as their first team

      Delete
    3. Questions have to be asked of Helder. The first seasons were actually far better.

    4. South Hobart played as well as they've played for many a season last night - they came to win and win they did in some style. No discredit to Riverside, they gave their all - Souths were simply untouchable on the night.

      Delete
    5. Riverside defended like statues no offence SH were good but not untouchable you only have to see the goals to see that u12s defending

      Delete
    6. If riverside gave there all I suggest you go back to northern championship.

      Delete
    7. Riverside folded like a deck of cards. Absolutely woeful.

Souths u/13 team would've beaten them.

This is the first time in recent memory that a Launceston based team has actually mounted a decent title challenge but in general, they're well behind.

  8. Congrats Ulvie on winning the reserves. Huge. Promote them FFT

  9. I’ve seen mannequins perform more defensive work than Riverside yesterday.

  10. Riverside folded like a pack of cards.
How long since a Launceston based team won a state title, Walter?

    1. City won Laka Cup in 2007. Since then I think they have only finished top 4 in 2018 before a good season this year They were an always one of the top clubs in the state prior to 2007 winning Cups and titles. Riverside and United have never one anything or even finished in top 4.

    2. Fair comment. I guess when a club has more $ to throw around at players you would be better
