5 Losses and a draw 1 against the Top team B side
Burgs rested quiet a few in this one but still a point is a point .
South were also without key players so that’s a pretty redundant point
How did Fulton and Taylor go? Who was best for south?
That’s poor recruitment those missing haven’t played…
Both played first 45 and in a largely uneventful half for Heidelberg. Bit of a collective effort for South, though Maddock definitely stood out in moments.
Walter & Hallam both injured the week before the competition started, Gorrie injured last week and Kieren Brown played 1 game in the comp despite being the better keeper. How is that poor recruitment?
Watched this on U tube. This game South Hobart did a much better job of tackling in midfield & winning the ball. Other games in this comp they were much more standoffish - if that makes sense ??. Good to see the young fellas getting a run.
Walter made of glass! Hallam good but never played as for the GK if he was the better GK why didn’t he play?

Brown was happy to play second fiddle in an attempt to keep NO happy… Brown was always moving interstate at the end of the year

A bit childish the comparisons between brown and O'Connell. O'Connell played well enough throughout, and brown showed in his one outing that he wouldn't have made any difference to the results.
So why is it childish? Fair question regarding personal thoughts/preference. Nothing childish about it.
I would say it’s the best thing about the site. Discussing team lineups, strategies, performances and results. Brown the better keeper for me. 342 what politics are involved?

@627 its childish because we all saw that Kieran isn't a better goalkeeper than nick. Its also poor to suggest that nick was picked due to politics. Politics or not, nick performed well, where Kieran didn't.
Whether or not Heidelberg played a reserve side, South's performances since the coaching change have been night and day. I don't think I've ever seen such an immediate positive impact by a coach in such a short time
