What is going on at knights ? Losing to riverside rubbish
Launnie United did well to hang in for so long
6 yellows for Dev seems they were rattled not the physical side they used to be. United took it to them was a very even game.
Didn't think much of the video stream from Devonport, too far away and without audio commentary I struggled to follow the game. Gave up after 20 minutes. It was better last year from the other side of the ground. The video from some (not all) of the other games wasn't much better.
CZ looked strong maybe no easy points with relegation?
Zebras dudded
Something needs to be done about the standard of refereeing in the competition. Yes the playing standard in the NPL / WSL has dropped in the last few years, but the referees have gotten away with it for too long. Starts with the head of refereeing, Coad was way off it yesterday for both South and Clarence Zebras. They are in desperate need of a change and some accountability.
Ulverstone ground is a disgrace surely FT have to step in .
We have coaches with no accreditation taking sides absolutely a disgrace ,In the NPL yet Rangers we’re going to get kicked out of the league in NMC .
If their coach didn’t get a C/License what is going on at FT ?
RULES ARE RULES it everyone has to abide them so do NPL Clubs !
It would seem rules are rules but only apply to certain clubs…. Wasn’t good enough for Devonport to play on but it’s sounding like United be the guinea pigs to go get injuries and knees done on the sand pit. I bet FT won’t be putting hand up to take responsibility for any player that finds themself headed to the Dr next week. Nothing short of a disgrace if any one is made play there for the first round of 9 games minimum as the pitch is simply not in a playable condition.
they are using automatic cameras in Dev this year that are fixed in the new stand probably a way to try to cut costs. as for comms they only do one game a week across the state even though i hear the actual commentators want to do more.
FT would have know idea to busy working from home the board need to act .
the video stream is a very public face of Football Tasmania and deserves to be of the highest possible standard. I also expect the standard to improve each year, much the same as we expect playing standards to improve. I have gone from thinking something is better than nothing from a few years ago to expecting a bit better than what we are currently watching. Commentary on all games is a must have.
I’ve seen photos of Ulverstones playing pitch today, there should be no way that any club be compelled to play on a pitch of this standard. It’s simply not ready yet!
Has been the same with that referee for last few years. The others are not too bad
Who edits the highlight videos on YouTube? Could be half the length with all the dead time/ball out of play that’s included in ‘highlights’
What’s going on down at south east?? Couldn’t even name the coach in their statement
Live Feeds are going backwards no commentary more build around the live gambling sadly .
AI probably, it was way better in previous years. That Knights/River game was the worst I've seen it.
hot take, if brown brothers continued to play at south east this year they would be undefeated this year
Looking at this weeks results you would have to say was pretty even across all games 🤷🏻♂️ if the season continued this way surely there is no reason to reduce the comp to 8 teams and keep more avenues open for players progression around Tasmania.
Looked strong? You must be joking. South should have had at least 3-4 by half time. Poor finishing plus good goal keeping by Jones saved zebras. Not much better than last year.
I’m a ‘bourgh man and I agree!
Look for Andrew Brown to coach Southeast United and bring his sons back to the team.
Zebras coach miles off with his comments after the South game, thinking they were in it… 26 shots (10 on target) for South vs 7 shots (2, arguably 3 on target) for Zebs…
Got to lower the standard in all regards to allow others to join seems to be the FFT way.
South East will win the title easy
How has playing standard possibly dropped? The league has better players now than the state has ever seen
Agreed it’s awful
Definitely!
On the other hand you could say it’s the jeopardy that’s improved the competition. Would say dropping it down to 8 but keeping pro/rel would be the best thing for the game. Allows the relegated clubs and ambitious champ clubs something to strive for as well as providing even more pathways than a closed league does
More or less delusional than the south coach when they play VIC NPL clubs?
Well they can’t walk the walk so all they can do is talk the talk.
