Can someone at FT explain to camera persons , what following the ball -Zoom and not filming the sky when injury or incident occurs - todays games were comical

ReplyDeleteJust a question: if the South East United coaches don’t have the correct accreditation, and without a Championship and/or Championship One side to meet the minimum accreditation requirements to stay in the NPL, do Ulverstone and/or Launceston United have the right to appeal if relegated?

DeleteThe Answer is yes FFT have got some explaining to do and yes both clubs should appeal one club has being given a huge advantage in avoiding relegation.
DeleteWhat’s the advantage? Shouldn’t the team be easier to beat if they don’t have “qualified” coaches?…. If you don’t have the points you go down, plain and simple.

DeleteThey do indeed, They have a B Licenced Coach as well as an A licensed coach on board. Have a little check of your facts before you start whining that your club cant stay up after not even being able to win the Northern Championship.

ReplyDeleteRegarding NPL clubs having a champ team, I believe they do not need to have one but they do need to have an u21s. If I’m wrong happy to be corrected.
ReplyDeleteNo you are correct but you also MUST have coaches with the correct accreditation.
DeleteIf you put in a nomination for the NPL the minimum coaching accreditation clearly states must be a B License.
Football Tasmania and the Club have had plenty of time to address this hasn’t been done hence all points should be forfeited the have earned .
If not Football Tasmania have created a huge issue for themselves surprise surprise !
Granted the club did have a coach who they lost a week into the season… not easy to retool off the back of that.

Will be interesting at years end, if 2 teams from same region, end up in bottom 2 positions, will FT drop both?
Thus creating 5 from one region, and 3 from the other.
Will then, NPL as we know it , fold, as region with only 3 teams, will no doubt have many more away trips.
Pretty sure that was the reason the last state wide competition folded .
They did have the correct accreditation and now dont due to something not of any fault of the club, FT are happy with what the club has done to be fixing this, would you be saying the same about a top 4 club if something happened as such?

DeleteAsking for South east to forfeit their points due to the coaching issue that hit out of nowhere is embarrassing. Clearly a Launy Utd or Ulverstone supporter, imagine your team stays up due to forfeit of points by another team just so you can continue to get flogged every week for years to come. Launy Utd and Ulverstone have no place in NPL, the fact they can’t get 2 wins a season shows their place is in Northern champ. This might upset some northern fans but facts don’t care about your feelings

Then when you break the rules expect no punishment it doesn’t work both ways sorry .
The fact is South East United have had weeks to address this coaching accreditation issue totally unfair on Launceston United and Ulverstone who have followed the correct protocol.

And if FFT do not acted the CEO should step down this is a major mistake by the federation and if the correct action is not taken .
Ulverstone and Launceston United should appeal to FA .

Hahaha, what a ridiculous comment... Launnie Utd and Ulvie could appeal but what would be the point. If they can't win any games this season, what would be the point in them continuing to stay in the league. Launnie especially. They've had years to be in the league and yet have showed no signs of improvement at all.

Delete*FFA. Are you aware what happened to the club at the start of the season. Licensed and ready and something unavoidable happened. In the interim they did what they could. They now have all relevant qualifications on board.
DeleteSaying that having 3 northern teams will kill the NPL is laughable. We had a 3/5 split for the first 10 years and it was better then. United have been stinking the league out for the last 4 years

DeleteLonny City were the only northern team in the 1990s and one of the most successful in the state. Yes they were crap in 2013. The point here is that the NPL does not need an even split if north south teams. There should be more from the south purely based on numbers.

ReplyDeleteIf the league ends up being a split, in whatever direction, then that is what it is. It is about having the best teams, to create the best competition, for the best spectator enterainment. Every team gets the same opportunity at the start of the season to get their best side together to compete. If they aren't up to competing or finish last then so be it. Someone has to come last and it is as simply as that.

DeleteNow they struggle not meeting the requirements as well. They should be removed from the league at seasons end. They had their chance and have stuffed it. This may be harsh based on all the hard work that Glen Roland did however the league’s quality and existence must prevail.
Like kinborough pulled out of champ a couple years ago or south hobarts ground or changerooms aren't up to NPL quality, im sure if what has happened to south east happened to another club no one would be saying boo, just jealous of what southeast has been able to put together and stick together through such a hard year off the pitch, they should be happy, plus they are now if anything over qualified in the coaching area

Not quite, it would be 0 points, not minus 3.
But it still proves my point that Zebras would only have 6 points in total and be second last.

ReplyDeleteThe problem with the NPL is that FT have all these criteria and requirements to play in the NPL that they allow any team to be in it not based on performances and recognition, but more where they votes are for them to try and obtain funds by having teams who are located in certain political areas.
ReplyDeleteIf they had based it on actual football history and by choosing clubs who laid the foundations of this sport in this state, then teams like New Town Eagles, Olympia, Glenorchy, South Hobart, Kingborough and Taroona would make the NPL South competition and the NPL North would consist of Devonport, Northern Rangers, Launceston City, Riverside and then you could have your Launceston United and either Ulverstone, Somerset or Burnie in there and it would create an even 6 teams per competition making it far more competitive and then have a top 4 play off between the top 2 teams in each league.
This would then mean less diluted player base, better crowds and more exposure to games that are played in the one demographic area.
You know it makes sense.
Just do it already.
So 12 teams, but a less diluted player base than the 8 team league it is going back to next year? How do you figure that?
