  1. When are FT going to realise that the media & comms are simply unacceptable for a state sporting body? The worst of all the major sports in Tasmania…

  2. What a game lions vs south one of the worst reffing performances I’ve seen south should’ve been playing with 9 at the end

  3. It's disgraceful. Oh for the days of Gilly and Cooling at FFT, people who actually seemed to care about the sport they were involved in and tried to promote it. The drop-off in the level of coverage in recent years has been astonishing.

    1. Yes. While the CEO is not even in the State. You would think they might have organised a commentator for the Boro South game. To restore a fraction of respect after the fiasco they created with the Dev Knoghys game in a Saturday. But no. That says it all. They are completely clueless.
How do we change things at FT. We all are paying them to make a complete mess of everything and bring our game down.

  4. Kingborough lucky to win. South Hobart penalty taking was primary school level. They should have won in the second half of normal time if not for rubbish balls into the box. The singer on the left hand side was poor. Received the ball slit but was too slow in taking on the full back when he had space in behind. When he did try and go past him it was too late and continually had to then check and come inside into traffic. Then the cross was poor or cut out
Kingborough looked poor , no system other than sit in and wait for South to bring the ball forward. When they won it it was thump up the ground most times.

    1. Where was the 12+ additional time from… playing to south score

    2. If you watch the game you’ll see all that added time was a result of Kingborough players trying to wind down the clock … think there might have been a sniper in the stands the way they were hitting the ground

    3. Not sure what you were watching but Kingo completely shut South down in the first half. When Kingo won the ball the attacked fast and made the South defenders look slow. If not for bad finishing Kingo should’ve been 4 or 5 up.
Not sure why they went into their shell so much in second half but how the game went so long only the refs could understand.
As for the pens obviously South boys got no ticker

    4. Lucky to win like there is ever 10 minutes added time we’re on earth did that come from

  5. A win is a win Borough are in the final and you… are not

  6. Extremely poor coverage by Football Tasmania all the cup primary school stuff it’s a sad pace were the game is at !

  7. Boro keeper best on, South looked poor in the first 35, and there should have been more than 13 yellows in the game… that’s about all that’s worth saying!

  8. Lucky to win? South should’ve had about two red cards. Morton and Kobe Cleary couldn’t handle the pressure. They’re not built for big moments like the Borough boys.

  9. The South Hobart Dynasty ended quickly… so much for winning everything, copped that one straight on the chin

  10. Maybe Max Clarke was a good coach and didn't just assemble a super team like some claimed.

    1. No they recruited heavily and then fell over the line. The best coach won coach of the year.

  11. Honestly anyone would think South hadn’t lost a Laka cup game in 10 years … check the stats last 10 years Devonport 5 cups knights and South 2 and Olympia 1
Given who Kingborough are playing in the final think the boys at Valley Rd have half a chance

  12. You do realise South East made the final last year … far bigger achievement than a long standing NPL club making it just saying

    1. Where are South East united now,who cares who won what last year look to the future.
Doesn't look like you guys have a future back in the champs next year.

    2. 8.18 pm. You are better dhutting up than making a fool of yourself. The club already has done that.

  13. Borough are setting themselves up for a short period of success. One or two of the B Laka squad were actually developed by the club. Every other NPL team has a approx a 50/50 split. They have quality running around in 21s that will all eventually age out or leave due to lack of opportunity. Playing a dangerous game in my opinion.

    1. They have had a few quality 21s leave already.

    2. Going to Clarence doesn't make you quality ,couldt get a run at Kingbourgh, dont think it affects the 21s

    3. If it is the player I am picturing he was the youngest player in the NPL squad this year and last, does this mean Kingborough is not quality?

  14. South Hobart DREW a match away to a team 3rd in the league and only lost on Pens. AND they are still top of the league by 3 points. Think anyone who says that they're falling away are delusional

  15. For the love of sport I hope Football Tas abandon any plan to use the AI camera at KGV and livestream the Lako Cup/Statewide Cup finals using proper camera equipment that is operated by a human, complete with a play by play and special comments person for each game. It's the least they can do given the complete botch up of the broadcasting they have managed this season. I won't holding my breath though!
