No doubt Devs successes have revolved around your ability.

Fondest memories include seeing Snow play for Ulv when i was young, then coming to play at Port in the early 90's.

As a player at Eagles during the 90's as well, he was brilliant. Added to this was Devs hospitality every time we played. This is something missing today (with no State League)as most clubs South play and leave the hosts without a traditional beer and spiel from club officials.

Well done.Marty Nidorferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12148773413184372668noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3290088887405022587.post-73802455029235694942010-11-28T16:22:34.592+11:002010-11-28T16:22:34.592+11:00Snow is a great mate and a true champion of the ga...Snow is a great mate and a true champion of the game. Snow was very inspirational on the field and you could rely on him in times of need. Great interview Walter and well done Snow on a great career in the game and congratulations Snow on your efforts with the juniors.
The game is far from where it was at its heights back in the 90's.
Cheers GuillyGuillyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17811562754107226987noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3290088887405022587.post-59965038459693629742010-11-28T14:56:06.492+11:002010-11-28T14:56:06.492+11:00yes played against Snowy..he was a complete compet...yes played against Snowy..he was a complete competitor..and just when you thought you had gone past him those long legs prodded the ball away..and the crunching tackles did not tickle!djalbacorehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06787051872531779333noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3290088887405022587.post-9988641319514060692010-11-28T12:21:19.811+11:002010-11-28T12:21:19.811+11:00I cant say I liked playing against Snowy... When i was goalkeeping and devenport had a corner you sort of hope snow would get his headers mistimed because you new its was a monty he would win it.

Would be one of the top two players i played against along with dave stodart from eagles
and you are right charlie that devenport and eagles side back in the 1990 would wipe the floors with the current southhobart side
today .Its a pity that standart has gone from the state it can come back with a state league 4 teams from the south two north two northwest.

The starnard cant rise with 10 teams in a southern comp theres not enough players anyway well done snowy.i did catch one cross against you one day bloody mircale thought.matthew rhodesnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3290088887405022587.post-58896578035390818922010-11-28T07:46:57.363+11:002010-11-28T07:46:57.363+11:00Snow was easily one of the best players that I pla...Snow was easily one of the best players that I played against, probably the hardest player to play on, I remember when we played him up in Devonport we had 3 players on him and he still just rose above us all and headed it into the top corner, did not actually move, just jump straight up. Interesting to note that so few people have commented, I think it shows the average age of people that comment on the blog...Great interview Walter

Charlie WhiteAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3290088887405022587.post-23410642898138571942010-11-26T22:54:54.079+11:002010-11-26T22:54:54.079+11:00I saw that game v Nagoya.
