A depleted Glenorchy Knights overcame University 4-3 in a pre-season friendly at Olinda Grove this morning.
Up to half the Knights side were in Launceston attending a charity function and the side had no recognised goalkeeper. Outfield players were rotated in goal during the match.
And, Knights' Corey Smith was sent off by referee Sean Collins.
Amadu Koroma netted twice for Knights, whose other goals came from Jyerem Vienna-Hallam and Eddie Mohamed.
Julian Proud netted a hat-trick for University, his third goal coming from the penalty spot.
Knights will be losing the promising Jacob Gordon this season as he will be studying at university in Western Australia.

ReplyDeleteLots of Talent Kent, on ability yes will keep spot. Needs to improve workrate and commitment if has aspirations to be one of top players in league, definetely has the right coach to get him there.

ReplyDeleteSpoke to Knights senior coach a few months ago and he didnt rate him then, but then things change dont they.
shane kent will be a regular starter with knights. has a new eagar attitude and wants a fresh start so should be a player to watch this year. fitness no worries as he has been training regular plus have heard traing with northern rangers when he heads back up north for uni. give the kid a break
