Great to see Eagles on the rise again. Women’s squad strong and depth growing. Men’s squad has great balance of youth and experience and the number of teams is increasing. Good to see.

Both Women's comps looking pretty close and interesting this season. Kingborough getting on the board with late win against Zebras. South beating the defending champs and going top. Dev looking strong. Can Eagles dethrone Uni in the champ?

All teams have extremely high chances of wins against Zebras...

Disgruntled ex player or family member I am guessing. Who won the Summer Cup again - I can’t quite remember.

Anonymous said...

Lot of exClarence players,to choose from how many left the club.
Summer Cup is a warm-up which is obviously what South used it for.
Always the paranoid line that ex player ,there are a lot more people out there that think you are a joke Clarence.

Says Anonymous from behind their keyboard. That makes you the joke and what you say inconsequential. By the way its Clarence Zebras.

Anon 7.34pm
The statement was "All teams have extremely high chances of wins against Zebras", not "All teams have extremely high chances of wins against Zebras - except the Summer Cup" And even if "Summer Cup is a warm-up" I am sure South were trying to win, as were everyone else. So Anon's 12.30pm comment (which I am sure is probably you) is not correct. Well done to the young Clarence Zebras girls. Oh, and if you are bagging out a club why don't you put your name to your comment so that we can see who "the people out there that think Clarence Zebras are a joke" are. If not, then Anon 9.46pm is correct, what you say is inconsequential.
That also goes for Anons bagging out other clubs. If you are going to make disparaging comments, man up and put your name to it.

to buck the trend of anonimity

Yet you don't put your names to your comments

Anonymous said...

To substantiate claims maybe? People just comment on here to cause trouble, rather than be constructive or congratulatory.

Anon 1.36pm.
I am not making any disparaging comments mate. I also haven't made any claims or spoken for "a lot more people" - just stating facts.

This all very boring, the WSL as a product is a dead duck unfortunately. I'm afraid for the benefits of the women's game we need to go back to a regional competition with a state final at the end

Anonymous said...

Spot on the game was in better shape 8 years ago before they brought in the WSL.
With the loss of the NTC women are no longer being trained at a higher level.
Saw a team photo the other day,no way the current teams would even complete.
Should be the last year before they destroy the women's game, also invest in decent coaches.

Yes the WSL is on its knee's and to be fair is such a low standard that it is time to go back to regional competition .

Anonymous said...

Anon 8.23 correct !
Regional comps played on Sundays like they used to be. That way anyone that wants to go to watch women's football can, rather than them leaving directly after the women's game , before the men's game starts.
Lets start looking at the trees instead of the forest for a change.
Lets be brutally honest about where the women's game is currently or is heading.
Lets not exaggerate the position to those in higher places because it's what they want to hear.
Honesty is the best policy.

Lest also be honest. Women’s AFL has better pathways and is becoming a natural pathway for younger soccer players to move to. It’s better publicised in the state and has training squads that feed into the women’s devils program.

Anonymous said...

That's where all the best young female athletes are going now as a pathway as you said ,plus only costs $150 or is free .

Anon 7.00 and 11.49 , Correct !!
