Goodbye South. Cmon City
ReplyDeleteNo penalty for port no certain refs
ReplyDeleteYes spot on. Bound to be one of those 2 refs at Penvonport next game.
DeleteGood to see someone observed that devonport wasn't awarded a clear penalty which happens quite often if you actually watch their games.
DeleteAgreed. Imagine getting a penalty for being fouled in the box. Incredible
DeleteHaven’t seen NPL game for awhile. Game has changed a lot. League champions play a very different game these days. Lots of whining and complaining when things don’t go their way. Starts with coach captain and through the team. Very disappointing
ReplyDeleteCracking game the City v South today. Came down to the two goalkeepers really. Clark was massive in City goals whilst the South keeper will be disappointed with City’s second goal
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the trip back south. Better team won
DeleteKen seen with new Taroona coach during the week.. changing of the guard? Apparently Scott played for him previously?! Watch this space… hmmm
ReplyDeleteScott it's obviously you commenting again you did on walters other post just relax a bit
DeleteDon’t think Scott has a license. Will Ken stay on as TD? Interesting if true.
DeleteKen regularly talks to a lot of coaches, don’t read too much into it.
DeleteWell done city today, great game from Clark in goals
So with South out, might as well give the trophy to devenport, save everyone the travel and expense
ReplyDeleteCity, Knights and Lions may have other opinion
DeleteIf they didn’t want the travel and expense they shouldn’t have entered in the comp.
DeleteI heard Zebras beat Ulverstone as well Walter
ReplyDeleteThe Womens competition is an absolute farce
ReplyDeleteI watched the live stream of this game. It took a little while for Eagles to realise that Devonport are no world beaters. I didn't think the technical quality was there considering they are the benchmark. They played walking football at times which did suit Eagles.
ReplyDeleteCredit to eagles they took the physicality to Devonport and if they played quick football, they could have been more damaging as I believe this is a way to defeat Devonport.
Devonport couldn't punish eagles when their midfield was no existent, massive amounts of space to use but didn't take tactical advantage.
Incredible knowledge of the game. Tactical genious
DeleteI think Devonport are going to derive a lot from this game. When was the last time Devonport played against men? this will top them of nicely.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't a great game to watch but I did enjoy the physicality.
I think Sammy L could have caused a few problems if he played but not sure why he didn't.
What I learnt from watching this game is that if Devonport are the benchmarks of the NPL then South Hobart won't make the second-tier competition.
ReplyDeleteSorry not being disrespectful it's just the way I see it.
Massive congratulations to Zebras a terrific and dominate win vs Ulverstone 3 goals and a clean sheet - get on board everyone!!!

ReplyDeleteMagnificent performance against a northern champ club?
Wow some people accept mediocrity.
Or are you taking the piss? I hope so.
