And..... that's the difference between first and last.
ReplyDeleteSouth didn't finish 1st and Zebras didn't finish last soooooo your comment is irrelevant
DeleteIf this is the difference between 2nd and 7th.. That's even worse..
DeleteI think he means this year.
DeleteWow Zebras season seems to be on track already.
ReplyDeleteSouth should run away with this title, an early call but will but should be disappointing if they do not win
ReplyDeleteIt’s south’s to lose, the pressure on them with their big promises.
DeleteIt’s hard to be irrelevant for a few years then need to throw $ around to look good again.
DeleteSurprised that Clarence didn’t seem to have a discernible game plan. No apparent attempt to get compact & defend to limit the damage.
ReplyDeletePort will beat south this year
ReplyDeleteSouth clinical around the goal. Zebras in big trouble. However, South Hobart looked slow at times and not overly impressive. Port will have them.
ReplyDelete8-0 and your not impressed?
DeleteMate they didn't need to move it quickly
Oh please you on that South Hobart $$ delusion train? They get their rego fees paid & that’s it. Ask the players.
DeleteClarence has the whole eastern shore to recruit players from and this is the best they can do.
ReplyDeleteThey might need to Merge🕕
Unsure this is true. South have the whole of the south to lure players with this promise of playing in an Aus Comp and $.
DeleteNot sure why the Zebras coach seems to get them to play it out from the back? They rarely can string a pass past there own penalty area before they get it taken off them and just put themselves under constant pressure
ReplyDeleteMr Hey to take over during the year at some point.
ReplyDeleteLegitimate question - why do people get so upset about teams paying players in Tasmanian football?
ReplyDeleteEvery decent competition in Australia, whether it’s the NPL or even lower-tier state league teams, pays players. It’s the norm both here and around the world.
Do people in Victoria rip into South Melbourne for paying their players? Do NSW fans complain about the Marconi Stallions?
The attitude here is so backwards, and it’s no surprise the NPL is struggling. Sounds like a bunch of sooks who were never good enough to get paid, so now they complain about others who do.
Because clubs down here do it so irresponsibly. In an NPL squad here, you would have some players getting absolutely $0 and then another getting $300+ per game. It isn’t sustainable and does nothing for a cohesive team culture.
DeleteAppreciate the comment. So people in here know for certain that some South Hobart players are getting $$$ whilst others - nothing? I guess if you aren't worth any money, you can make the choice on whether you stay in a good team, with good development, knowing you might make some decent coin in coming years - or move onto a team that WILL pay you? And if this isn't possible.. maybe you're not worth it?
DeleteGlad the boys that went to Olympia because they couldn't get a game came back to Clarence....
ReplyDeleteIf Alex Walter stays fit - South win the league at a canter
