United offered a solid performance against a pretty sharp Devonport team.

Anonymous said...

Did Clarence’s new faces provide much to the game?

Anonymous said...

Watching the Knights V Riverside. It’s bad, oh dear.

Anonymous said...

Knights new coach keeps getting it wrong

Anonymous said...

Without a doubt the worst game I have seen from Glenorchy Knights in 10 years. Slow, no effort, lack of skill, no game plan.

Jed said...

Took 66 minutes to score then 2 late goals from the most expensive team for years in the NPL Not exactly anything to be thumping the walls of that old grandstand is it against Clarence ?

Anonymous said...

Jed South Hobart are buying a premiership. It is ok others have as well.
Only difference is South Hobart are in denial about it.

Anonymous said...

Well said it's no problem to finance the first team just don't play the "we are amateurs and don't pay" card

Anonymous said...

Word is South have spend more money in 2025 than any other in NPL TAS History!

Anonymous said...

Riverside Fan "Same old story — Knights fans turning on one of their own from the sidelines again. And to think it’s a long-serving player, too. Some things never change. That said, I like the Knights coach — he’s not afraid to give young players a chance. He needs to be given time ‘’.

Anonymous said...

I think that was last week. Tonight I saw a bit more of an identity.

Anonymous said...

That's the way, keep making up the narrative to suit your stories. Haven't heard any noise re not paying players, etc except from the continued comments on here every time South win a game!

Anonymous said...

Anon 7.25 .
You have no clue. Talking rubbish .

Anonymous said...

Miley was amazing. Danced around South Players

Anonymous said...

All Clarence did was sit back and let South have possession. Clarence had no idea when they had the ball and too many players taking far too many touches and beating the same opponent once ,twice and sometimes three times and then losing ball. That is primary school stuff. That is “village football standard”. They need to be better than that and that comes from the top. If not then continue as us and be satisfied with finishing near bottom.

Anonymous said...

5-2 ?! Must of been butter knife sharp

Anonymous said...

The rage bait in this comment is hilarious! Clearly this person doesn’t know anything about Tassie football lol

Anonymous said...

South pay players and have for a long time; most logical club members happily admit that. That being said anyone, anyone in the know knows they aren’t even spending the most in the South of the state, let alone the league…

Anonymous said...

In all honestly, it’s probably the weakest Port team since the state league was re introduced

Anonymous said...

Who’s to blame there ? Seems their recruitment has been very poor.

Anonymous said...

Sorry but Knights fans are well within their rights to be disappointed with how the team is playing.

Anonymous said...

Fantasy. The travelling knights fans love the playing group. Sounds like some sour soup from you old chum.

Why was Dillon on the bench? That's lunacy from the coaching staff.

Anonymous said...

This is clearly written by someone close to the coach

Anonymous said...

Devonport 2014 and 2015 team finished lower than the 2025 team will finish. The difference is that was a young squad who went on to dominate the league.

The three amigos are at it again. The Knights coach isn’t afraid to start fresh—he sees the bigger picture. While some cling to the past, he’s earned the respect of the younger players and isn’t blind to the fact that a few veterans may be past their prime. Those close him speak highly of his leadership. He’s not one to shy away from a challenge—he’s taken on a poisoned chalice and is standing up to a culture in need of change.

We’d love someone with his passion and care for his player at our club.

Anonymous said...

Whose past their prime and what makes it a poisoned chalice?

Anonymous said...

Cool story bro

Anonymous said...

Clarence only needed to hang on for those last 20 minutes for a 0-0 draw with Souths !

Anonymous said...

Devonport pushed all the way by a fresh looking outfit in United… couple late goals making the result a bit more glamorous for Port but deserved the win. The man in the middle may need to be less persuaded by the screams and squealing of the Devonport players and their sour crowd also. Definitely a one way street on the decisions and very influenced by Tom and his persistent crying from the bench also.

Anonymous said...

They also didn’t get a heap of players in during them seasons either unlike the current squad. Presumably the president is happy with the amount they’ve spent last two seasons and nothing to show for it.

Anonymous said...

It’s sad when you celebrate a 5-2 thumping

Anonymous said...

Riverside spending massive coin on United players to secure 6th lol

Anonymous said...

Glenorchy Knights v Launceston City next week. I reckon third loss in a row for GK.

Anonymous said...

Was amazing dancing around the South players and then lost possession when attempting the pass after the quick step.

Anonymous said...

Open the other eye.

Anonymous said...

How much has the President spent? I love how people are in the know here

Anonymous said...

7.03 it is always the same Zebras comments about South paying players. You are last on the table and can only talk about what the 1st team on the table is doing. Come on fix your own house, you have a lot to do.

Anonymous said...

Need a new striker Tooze struggling for form !

Anonymous said...

Well have a look at who’s there this year and last year gives you a good indication, Innis,Reynolds,Parke,Kurt,Ozzie,Stone,Declan,Curtis,Dylan,The Winger who lasted a few games, import striker barely played but they signed him, Go back to last season two keepers one who went and played for a decent side in the mainland, the list goes on.

People shout about SH buying the league pffttt

Let’s hope big Tony puts some heat on the GCC to clean up KGV for the Australia Cup game - looks like a depot for the tip

Anonymous said...

Heard the launceston united number 9 played good again against devonport. Rising up above the pack on the corner to tap the ball into the back of the net. You can tell he works his legs the way he levitated off the ground like ja morant at basketball. He truly is a sensation player the united commitee should start having talks on building him a statue.

Anonymous said...

Charlie Roberts with the 2 goals again, has been playing amazing the last few weeks.

Anonymous said...

This is why they are last on the table, they have massive problems and spend their time commenting on other clubs. Get your club sorted out or let South East take your palce.

Anonymous said...

A culture that won the double last year? doesn’t seem any need to change.

Anonymous said...

Wonderful idea!

Anonymous said...

Nope. City will lose

Anonymous said...

Clearance should just play their 21s

Anonymous said...

awesome comment I agree :)

Anonymous said...

The same South East that couldn’t beat Taroona? Yeah definitely primed for NPL.

Anonymous said...

Wow your amazing. Tell us all how you worked out it was CLZ people talking about South's? I mean they all say "anonymous " and could be jealous Knights people, Port supporters maybe? Nope you've just gone straight for the club you clearly have a personal issue with. Grow up junior

Anonymous said...

Anon 12.46
Why was an older player returning from injury brought back in if he thinks players are past their prime?

Walter said...

Jed Donohue has contacted me to inform me that the recent post by ‘Jed’ is not by him. He just wanted readers to be aware of that.

Anonymous said...

Can someone please explain to me what on earth is going on at Knights? I understand that there was a big turnover from last year but to be in the bottom half and falling fast, with any half decent player jumping ship, something seriously worrying going on there!

Anonymous said...

The same south east that beat launie city and made it to a laka cup final, yeah they sound primed

Anonymous said...

Yes the same team that beat zebras in the cup, not beating Taroona only makes Zebras look worst

Anonymous said...

I think he may be right ‘“junior”.

Anonymous said...

The coach is building something to last

Anonymous said...

Knights have some decent players and only hold 3 starting players from last year just a young team that most players need experience into NPL

Anonymous said...

I think we can all see they're pretty average at the moment. They have always had high turnover but never been this bad.

Anonymous said...

To be fair they have won 2 of the last 4 league titles. Sherman was always going to be a nightmare to succeed. Would be doing well to finish top 4 under new coach.

Anonymous said...

That makes zero sense a side that wins 2/4 titles the coach coming in just needs to add to what was there which included some quality players. All this rubbish about culture and building to last is just all easy things to say when getting beat by the likes of Riverside. I think it’s telling sign when players are walking away from the club this year and haven't done that prior to this season.

Anonymous said...

Everyone is different if the new coach feels he needs to change things that's up to him. It's the President and boards job to make sure those things are needing to be changed time will tell but it isn't looking good so far.

Anonymous said...

If changing the culture is losing imports through poor behavior, experienced senior players choosing to step away and losing to teams for the first time in history I ain't so sure it's for the better.

Anonymous said...

It’s certainly not for the better lol. You just said yourself imports having poor behaviour and experienced players leaving. No player (experienced or not) is bigger than any club. And you can argue those experienced players are leaving because they’re unhappy with how things are being run - then the club might have to look at getting rid of people higher up. Regardless, Knight have a poor culture and if this isn’t a wake up call then I don’t know what else to say
