  1. That new fella up front for United doesn’t mind banging a few away.

  2. South Hobart spent all that money looked very average today .

    1. I would prefer to be in South’s position then Clarence/Zebras who have paid twice the money for 1 win all season and 7 points below 2nd last.

      Delete
    2. I hope you’re not referring to paying twice as much as south?

      Delete
    3. I severely doubt that the money Clarence Zebras have spent on player payments, would even be the amount that the top three players at South Hobart have been paid this year.

  3. Great game at Darcy Street. City were to good on the day. Shame the clock was 10 minutes out on the TV. Once again the clubs do there bit but FT let the game promotion down. It’s not that hard to at least get that sorted FT.

    1. Their Media Coverage is embarrassing.

    2. Completely disagree the commentary was superb, what was bad about it exactly ?

  4. Really enjoyed the Darcy Street game today Launceston City really came to play. Very much enjoyed their close control with the ball at their feet in and around South’s box.

  5. Love Port but Walpole dancing through the left back like nothing. Very good to watch.

    1. Walpole playing his best football. Great to watch. The extra work and guidance he got is paying off.

    2. 12.33 notice how knights players are starting to look like their old selves. Wonder what's changed in the last few weeks

      Delete
    3. Walpole won’t be at knights next year. Watch this space.

    1. Another penalty. Same referee

    2. 3 pts and a clean sheet away to Port is not for everyone.

    4. Like when knights did it Round 1 ..?!

    5. Have a chat with the coach, making 5 subs adds onto extra time

      Delete
    6. Anon - 10:13 PM My point exactly. You shouldn’t of sacked the coach who got that result. Hopefully, he’ll end up somewhere where he is appreciated. We’d happily have him up North. Always the victim knights. Never the problem.

      Delete
    7. Where in the North exactly … let’s be honest knights have been far better under the new management,

      Delete
  7. To be honest South are underachieving with that squad should be winning the league by 10 points.

    1. Agreed. They played Pokémon with the other southern teams and yet aren’t that good. They shouldn’t be way better than they are.

    2. Coach is too close with his players.

  8. What a finish from Swaby.

  9. Why 7 minutes extra time at valley road?? And yet another port penalty

    2. What change, the whole 16 man squad?

  11. Yeah cracking game at Darcy today, like the commentators said, Syson got his tactics absolutely spot on. Interesting last couple of games coming up!

    ReplyDelete
  12. I think Riverside may have done Launceston United a massive favour in hindsight by signing their imports.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Riverside area shambles. Big underachievers . Team is mostly made up of United and City rejects.

      Delete
    2. Didn’t think it was possible to be a united reject

      Delete
  13. Thought Syson completely out-coached Clarke yesterday. From start to finish City were the better side and made proactive subs compared to South's reactions. Tactically very smart and will give us an excellent end to the season

    ReplyDelete
  14. Would also like to note, I thought the commentators were excellent yesterday. They're often given a hard time around these parts but I thought yesterday they brought excellent knowledge of the game and the players, and had great chemistry. Hopefully someone at FT took notes and will schedule 2 commentators on games going forward

    ReplyDelete

    1. And make sure the time clock is correct on the livestream. I thought there was 10 minutes to go when ref blew full time

      Delete
    2. The commentary was very ordinary. Those boys would be far better off actually calling the game.
Instead they spent the majority of the time giving their own opinions on what they’d do as coaches of the respective teams.
Just call the game fellas. Pretty simple.

      Delete
    3. Agree with 10.22

I don't care that the co comm thinks south should press higher l, just call what's happening, not what your opinion is on what a team in your opinion needs to do.
But the 2 guys did have great chemistry their timing and knowledge of the teams and players was excellent. They should be commended for that I would be more the happy to hear them work agai

      Delete
    4. Well I honestly felt like what they suggested was fine and you’d struggle to get anyone else in Tassie who knows the game like they do, especially formation wise and calling what they see, Some people are never happy, we are lucky to get two commentators some states like ACT don’t get any barely

      Delete
    5. Mr Cooling is the best soccer commentator in Tas by a country mile.

Who called the SH v Laun City game?

Best stick to calling the game lads. Leave the expert comments out til you've racked up a few more years.

      Delete
    6. I’m biased but the Devonport commentator is better.

      Delete
  15. Scoreline flattered South. City were far better on the day & should have scored 6. Another top game by the Souths keeper.

    ReplyDelete
  16. South have a slightly easier run home but y to they tend to struggle to kill off poor sides. They struggled against Clarence yet City defeated Clarence 12-3. City forward line much stronger that South who rely too much on Morton who is usually up top on his own and if and when they can get him the ball, support is not there so he tries to take on players too often and little eventuates. The City forwards are quick to support each other with their midfielders close behind in support. South still to win league though.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Isn’t Morton one of the leading goal scorers this season.

      Delete
    2. Anon 11.07. Yrs he is but he could have many more goals.

      Delete
  17. It will be interesting to see how this south team reacts to a defeat after going undefeated in the league all season.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Said it a few weeks ago, South are an average side. City turned them over yesterday and South did not have any tactical answer for them. South can play one way and when it doesn't work they are very much stuck. I can see South dropping more points in the run in a City taking the title

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. South were extremely lucky to beat City in round 2. City should have won that. That has proven a very lucky win for South

      Delete
    2. South are far from an average side. They have lost two game in the league all season. Took south melbourne till the final and yet they are somehow average for losing one game? I’m not even a south fan but you’re talking rubbish

      Delete
    3. The league is of a poor standard this year which reflects on South winning most games. Does not make them a good side beating easy and beatable teams that they should be beating. They have by far the most experienced team in the state with a handful of the best players. They should be better than they are

  19. toure is a one of a kind talent, this kid is amazing. also what a performance from that united rb dalton played very well. put in a amazing shift.

  20. LJ were very impressive. Great all round game. They closed Morton down quickly too which is a key to stopping South.

  21. So change at Clarence ! Let me guess new name and strip new committee with new president ( of Greek origin ) close ?
