Any idea what happened to Henry Fagg Walter? Is he play?
Steve Payne can sure spin a story (journo by trade). In his FFT column he talks about the best Täsmanian team ever and then chooses to measure success by the number of times the goal keeper didn't kick the ball out of his hands. The fact is that results were better two and three years ago.
Anonymous (10.48pm), Henry suffered a neck injury and was taken by ambulance to hospital to be examined. It was mainly a precautionary measure as he didn't have any tingling or loss of feeling.
ruomur has it that tatnell quit keeping after been dragged at half time in the reserves
The thing is that most (if not all) of the boys coming out of FFT programs will end up in the NPL or SPL.
Watching our senior teams play the goalies are kicking long nearly every time. Until we get more coaches like Ken Morton, Chris Hey and Franco Previdi at senior level then key practices these boys are taught will become irrelevant once they leave the program.
Winning is all that counts in the senior comps and automatic relegation for the loser may be the reward for playing the ball out from the back.
Good to see Jacob Huigsloot enjoying his football again - great goal, tremendous team performance.
Huigi's goal was an absolute corker.
When is FFT going to do something about the goalmouth. You lose your footing in that sand so easily one tackle in that sand and that's your season done! It's so unsafe. No wonder the keepers are looking slow off their lines.
I would like Steven Payne's job. 3 weeks "sick" leave, 1 day back at work, 1 week in Canberra at the National's, 3 days back at work and 3 weeks holiday in Canada! All this after only approximately 6 months in the job. This would not appear to be tax payers and fee paying footballers dollars spent wisely. Is FFA or FFT putting the bill for our Technical Director? We need to select a Technical Director from within Tasmania. One who knows the local football scene and all the problems invloved with it.
Anonymous 5.32 pm . Put your hand up for the job then .I doubt he'll be here much longer.
lets be honest we don't have any qualified in Tas for the job, I'd be interested to see how many of the technical directors of each state are australian.
