What's new at Eagles and Beachside?

Photo:  Beachside has their new Brazilian midfielder (right) on view.  Walter Sidney Martins Da Silva Filho is an engineer who has been in Tasmania for three months.  He and his younf family moved to Australia two years ago.  Coach Romilton Amaral, also a Brazilian, said Martins Da Silva Filho was not yet fully match fit. Photo:  It was good to see Peter Wass (left) involved with Eagles.  Wass was a very versatile player with the club decades ago.  He was an excellent goalkeeper but was also very useful in the outfield as an attacker. [PlessPix]

Photo:  Two very experiences players in action.  On the left is Beachside's Joel Schuth, a skilful left-footed attacker who left Kingborough Lions United for Beachside last season, while on the right is Andrew Telega, who is back in the Eagles first-team after playing mostly in the reserves last season.  Telega was also a prominent player with Hobart Zebras earlier in his career.
