South dropping Oates from npl and Liam Morton who is an npl quality player. Nothing against them doing that they have all the right to try and make the best team possible. BUT the fact is they should be tearing apart any other team with the team they had today, but sadly due the football they are playing this yea they are nowhere near teams like devenport, city, kingborough even knights. It’s a shame to see such talent playing such ugly football, they barely created anything today and looked slow and out of shape. South need a change in coaching staff if they want to win anything in the foreseeable future. Devenport played well credits to them, just a shame we didn’t see the same the same sort of game as we did in the semifinal devenport Vs Kingoborugh instead we got a cagey scared game with just a lot of time wasting and long balls from south Hobart.

South are trying to use the same game model as their NPL and let's be honest their NPL team are fortunate the league is weak at the moment they've had to come from behind against Knights, Kingborough and Devonport that suggest it's not a good plan

South 0 and 2 from finals is this an omen for Monday?

Devonport played 2 players today who have played NPL this year.

Both clubs COULD have named much different / Stronger teams if they hadn’t cup tied young players in their Laka matches over the rounds.

Both teams played okay today - no one played well. But that’s cup football. How often do you see well played cup finals? Nerves, excitement get the better of people and we get okay Football. Devonport just used their chances and got the goals through a great young upcoming player.

South had at least 3 very clear chances in the first 3-4 minutes, even 1 of those chances goes in - completely different result.

That’s cup football! Let’s see what Monday brings in the big games.

Can’t drop players for cup, Oates has played all cup games in under 21s and guess what he is under 21 so what is the problem

Carn SOUF.....EAST UNITED

Devonport moved the ball around very well, south looked nervous and rarely retained the ball ( Dev first goal was football sauce… unsure why the comment of both teams playing poor)

Very different game styles, don’t think south’s did them any favours.

I thought there was a lot of good 1v1s across the park particularly mid and wide, was a real arm wrestle.

Ports finish on those two were class, especially first one

Bit out there but players under the age of 19 shouldn't be able to be cup tied.
There are that many rules to promote NPL clubs developing their own players.
We should be giving them as many opportunities as possible to play, I'd prefer an u21 cup final with clubs best young players.

5-0 minimum tomorrow

Yep

That is an awful idea, defeats the whole purpose of being cup tied
