Hopefully Nick O’Connell leaves for the mainland too good for this team
South look much better with the new coach
What a ridiculous comment 😂
Kobe Kemp, Alex Walter, Kasper Hallam & basically Adam Gorrie all injured - and still (fairly) competitive against teams with 20x their budget… looks like the players are buying into the new coach’s system at South. Goes to show what you can do when you don’t frantically high press teams who can play through you…
Agreed, they’ve looked far better the last couple of weeks since the change
Gotta be joking... He's a decent keeper but was at fault for the first goal. Has to save that.
Now now Don’t Tear Max’s team down like this guys they are trying….
Imagine what they do if they actually bought players in for the comp…
If kobe injured why he on the bench?
Maybe the team is better off without some of these players
South look much better with the second defensive midfield don’t think you can play both ,Morton and Kemp in the first 11 at this level .
Was Kemp injured? Thought it was a tactical choice
One had to wonder if Kerian Brown enjoys being back up?
South are doing ok but just shows how far away Tas teams are compared to the mainland
Kemp not mobile enough to play the better teams
Think O'Connell has stuggled thos tournament been at fault for a few goals
Yes these mainland teams are paying alot more than South but as a state we cannot be happy with not even a point
Kemp not mobile enough. Even though Berezanski is not a midfielder and was better out wide he is much better than Kemp in the middle. More disciplined and can get back to defend. South have looked better since the new coach has been at the helm.
Agreed. However, Nick Morton nor Kemp contribute anything to the team and clearly are way below the standard. The rest of the team bar few keep the team competitive and structured. The team is doing well defensively which keeps them in the game but have no attacking potential or effective striker as evidenced by the last few games and cannot execute by any means. If south wish to stay competitive in next years league they need to poach a new striker and change their forward line because it is clearly isn’t working for them.
South were very competitive, but their defending is naive.
Lancaster and Morton turn the ball over too much, trying to look for the perfect pass or taking too many touches.
Hess and Oates have been fantastic since their inclusions.
I am not a South Hobart fan but really a couple of comments here are full of no understanding of football. Agree some of their players are too slow and not up to it at this level, definitely like the way the new coach is setup the team. One thing is that they struggle for a consistent quality striker at this level they get the ball into the top 3rd but cant finish.
The championship as other teams have done bought key players in and don't necessarily need to pay big dollars either but is needed if want to be competitive. Comments about keepers are always easy to blame its there fault, as I am one myself in the NPL League . That first goal if you look was slightly hidden from Oconnell and then hit with great power he wouldn't have had much time. Maybe a couple of other goals in other games would say 50/50 his fault but as a keeper it's always a hard gig I think Oconnell has had a good championship team of the week one week not bad.
I think South had shown at times they are competitive but any team that makes it next year will need to sign key players in a striker and defence. Just my thoughts
Olympia's record for achieving the greatest win by a Tasmanian football club remains intact.
Oates has been quite impressive for his age same could be said for Hess just at opposite end
How is their record now is more important I would think.
Berezansky was coached at a youth level to play at 10. Not a six
