Sydney FC fail to regain top spot on A-League ladder

Sydney FC failed to go top of the A-League ladder when they lost 2-0 away to Perth Glory at members Equity Bank Stadium tonight.

After a goalless opening half, Scott Bulloch headed Perth in front from Jamie Coyne’s right-wing cross in the 57th minute.

Branko Jelic made it 2-0 two minutes from the end when Mile Sterjovski drew the keeper and squared the ball for his team-mate to score.

Perth are fifth and Sydney second on the ladder.

The result was a relief for Perth, who had collected a mere one point from four outings before this game.

The attendance was 8,932.
