Would like to think that Olympia would do the right thing and replay today's challenge game given the bearing it has on the title and also given there was still 10 minutes left and they'd only just scored .... then again they played 3 senior visa players today so I doubt that will happen
“Ethics” is the name of a Greek restaurant that no one at Olympia have ever been to.
Well took me a while but really Clarence have to go surely. Their Npl shipped 13 and their super league 18. I mean really??
6:30 PM Anon - it was actually 5 NPL players
All teams on their bye week play some seniors in the 2's.
Secondly no team in the world would do as you suggested and put the points back on the table.
Grow up. Olympia deserved their victory.
Fancy coming all the way from the UK as a professional and then, because your club is so desperate to win, playing in a developmental league against a team of mainly 16-18 year olds.
I'm a bit confused as to the table. On Friday you had Knights down as played 20, with 23 points, now after beating launie city you have them as played 21, but still with 23 points?? And Kingborough have gone from played 21 with 26 points after the Zebras game to played 21 with 29 points a day later. Not sure if am reading wrong but it seems there is a mistake, i think knights and kingborough both on 26 :)
In regards to the challenge game yesterday Football Tas need to show some common sense and make the replay decision without any club intervention ...... I guarantee it would be a different story if the score was in the favour of South
Get off your high horses, all npl clubs play several of their npl starters in challenge league when they have a bye!
Never seen a Joel Stone, Nick Morton, Declan Brown or Sanders drop to challenge league on a NPL bye ..... so anyone who knows soccer in Tas knows what Olympia did playing 4 of their best senior players is unethical so looking pretty comfortable on my horse thanks
And before you correct me I know Stone can't play challenge but I think you get the idea ...... top flight NPL players dropping back to reserves in order to win a game in any sport is a no no but says a lot about the club
Ohhh, to much rump hurt!

South may not necessarily drop players back on a bye round but they have done it numerous times over the years.
Please do not be so naïve or at least check before commenting.
If you read slice of cheese you would know that heaps of the senior starting team were out of super league team.
They have beaten south and Kingbourgh this year.
If anyone should go south cant even put together a championship team, and have never invested in the women's game .

How does your high horse feel now dickhead
why would FFT intervene on the result,
I think you will find once the clock clicks past a certain time period the game is valid.....
man the south hobart fans are soft and winey....
Really South Hobart have being dropping players back for years now its time for them to feel what it is like WHAT A JOKE GROW UP SOUTH HOBART PEOPLE !
The spirit of the challenge league is to give developing players opportunities and to allow seniors to play their way back from injury. The crossover happens often on a 1-2 player basis. The list gets quite extensive. South Hobart have indeed played NPL players in their squad on that basis. What Olympia did on Sunday is certainly completely different to that. It seems they will go to any lengths to avoid the soul searching they need into why they are the most hated club in Tasmania.
South drop players = DEVELOPMENT
Olympia drop players = HOW DARE THEY!
That right South dont pay players, South dont drop Npl players into ther challenge league, South womens team wont be relegated this year because they are South. Come on south supporters enough of the crocodile tears your not the best football club in Tasmania anymore! I know that hard for you to believe!
Welll done you've just listed the entire South U18 squad and senior players coming back from injury you tool so still riding high thank you .... also seeing you're so good at the stats be so kind as to list how many games South played 4 or 5 senior men not boys in the one game ..... think I'll be waiting a while as per usual appears you Olympia people have trouble counting to 5 ain't Karma a bitch !!!!!!
My understanding of Challenge League is it is for up and coming players AND also NPL players that maybe coming back from injury or suspension. Olympia purely stacked their team yesterday because apparently having players that have worked and trained all year in Challenge wasn't enough. Very unfair to those young players. The game should be replayed and pretty sure if the tables were turned someone would be kicking up a stink about it.....probably with a nasty disgusting email! (Insert eye roll)
And I sincerely hope young Austin Yost is recovering ok, he is such a great young man on and off the pitch.
The circus that was the challenge league yesterday is a not unlike Olympia took to the Devonport Cup. No we won’t play the South Hobart u/15 team that we got in the draw. We know that South team will wallop us therefore we’re not playing. Pathetic - what does this tell the players and the parents?
The culture stinks. For the players who played in the Olympia challenge league all year then were displaced in the team for the game it’s a pretty poor outcome. The whole win at all costs, not focus on development says it all. Sport should be a great teacher - how to win and lose graciously and team-work.
Did Olympia break any rules?
Did Olympia end the game early?
Did Olympia declare Olympia winners?
Do south piss and moan when things don't go their way?
Only one of these question has 'yes as the answer.
So let me understand this !
Olympia drop players back so they can win challenge league !
South Hobart get upset because it cost them points in their bid to win the league !
I WOULD SAY BOTH CLUBS HAVE A WINNER TAKE ALL ATTIUDE !
KARMA HAS SUDDENLY HIT SOUTH PAYING FOR PAST SINS !
Who here remembers when South Hobart, in 2013, stacked their U20 squad for the state league final v Zebras and pumped them? I believe they played their new interstate signings Kass and Ludlow?
And no, I'm not against it. If it's legal, and players are eligible to play, then why not? But it's unfair to complain when one team does it, when over the years, every team has done it.
True over the years many clubs have 'stacked' within the rules, including South Hobart. But interesting that Olympia are aware of these rules but yet aren't across the rules regarding suspended players?
The duplicity coming from the South Hobart camp hangs in the air like a rotten stink.
Hi curious. As a parent of challenge youth I would be more concerned about why the game was abandoned. The sickening tackle of three against 1. I hope FFT are taking note of the number of injuries this year to many of the youth. Stop this hate campaign against clubs. When my sons team had Bye seniors playing against him we discussed that it gave him good senior play type experience and didn't jump up and down on social media about the difference it made to points! Let's get back to some nice rivalry because otherwise your kids will take your anger onto the pitch and there will be more injuries.
Anon 10.30pm
Finally, someone with something sensible to say. Good on you!!!
I am so glad my daughter doesn't get on Walter's blog and read all the hate messages. She just wants to play football.
