The season is the poorest season so far in the NPL soon as we go back to regional comps the better the standard is woeful .
Why was the south keeper allowed to wear a Green strip? Surely South have an alternative strip.
Poor form from the Head of referees.
Funny you say that about the SH keeper. In the last women’s match that SH played against CZ, their keeper wore black. CZ strip was black. It must have taken the referee a whole half to realise as she changed it at half time. How is that allowed?
Clarence very poor second half . Devonport should have had at least 3 more goals in the second half. Interesting tactics by the Clarence coach having a striker mark Devonport's striker.
Rocks in his head. That worked well. When Clarence hoofed the ball forward the striker was nowhere to be seen. Poor coaching . Didn't deserve to win.
Too much whingeing as often the case lately. Lots of positives out there. Devonport v CZ was a great game and well officiated. Great to see CZ becoming so competitive. Plus SE U21s a great story.
It’s South Hobart…. Aren’t they allowed to do whatever they like?
It does beg the question that the man in charge allowes the kit clash to happen
Perhaps South Hobart only have one NPL keepers strip?
Since Tony Peart left the Ref Department has gone backward big time .
Exactly coaching is rubbish two clubs join it is disgraceful, no better than before.

Some followers of the game have standards that they would like to see. The NPL in this state has dropped in quality considerably . Devonport South Hobart and maybe Knights stand out like dog's, you know what, at the moment , compared to the rest.
The other clubs are way behind . If you believe that was a great game you are very easily pleased . Can you please share what the positives were that you refer to ?
One is Devonport's ability to keep going and come from behind and win a game where they dominated and possibly should have had another 4 or 5 goals at the end if not for poor finishing. Clarence should have lost by much more. They are boring to watch and the stupid tactics employed by the coaching staff , absolutely ridiculous. No system of play. They rely on individual ability of 2 players in particular. No team unity , system or cohesion. If these two players have off days, bye bye Clarence. The tall Argentinian is a great player with great skill and wicked shot. Unfortunately the players around him are not at a similar standard and it seems that he tries to do too much on his own and things break down all the time. Ina team like Devonport or South where he would have players running off him and supporting him , he would be fantastic and his dummy spitting at his team mates would reduce considerably.
I agree the NPL has seen a drop in standards and it is a poor competition. The only people who think the game is in good shape are Devonport supporters and Matt Bukeley. The standard of these posts has dropped, too. We get people who just want to bag Devonport, others who want to back everything Port do, nasty trolling (I suspect I'll cop some of that) and even someone who thinks it relevant to correct grammar and spelling in these posts. Can't we just have a serious debate about the future of our sport.
