Clarence fellows upset over a few things perhaps look within at yourselves from previous behavior and senior players and staffs language before pointing fingers. For a proud club very disappointing behaviour reminder me of the days where ZEBRAS people would bag their own from behind the goal

Couldn’t agree more: the Clarence bench sets a terrible standard. Starting with their main coach. No wonder the players are so I’ll disciplined.

Tooze was marking Vincent because there is a genuine lack of Speed and Effort in defence and Tooze has both

Good non penalty call from the referee, nobody was wearing yellow and blue

Just watched highlights from Zebs Knights match, how the ref did not give a penalty against the Zebs at the 67 min mark is beyond me. The commentator was amazed as is every one else who sees it. Very poor decision. Then again it wasn't the Strikers was it.

Surely contenders for save of the week and goal of the week from the Knights this week.

Vincent's goal was good, but the defending was absolutely diabolical by Zebras...

Kyle Vincent made the Zebras back 3 or4 look like they were the under 10’s squad ,just take a look at his goal for starters

Poor decision. Clearly a pen. Ref potentially blindsided on the angle? But how the AR didn't and Ref didn't consult is beyond me.

Who was #10 for the C.Zebs? Embarrassing reaction. I hope they gave it to you after you LOST.

As a Neutral supporter of football, the absolute berating towards Zebs from the Knights and their supporters is beyond me, even in the comments. Disgusting comments throughout the game to Zebs GK & LB, Knights ONLY won 1-0, Zebs could’ve gotten a draw or even won that game if their forward players were on-form, let’s not forget the 1n1 chance they missed and Free kick. Special mention to; Knights Goalkeeper, Knights #7, Knights #14, Knights #10, Zebs #13 , Zebs #16 Zebs #11 & Zebs #9 they are outstanding Players!

Ah pal don't forget that knights had 4 chances to seal the deal. Zebs still playing catch up and that's to the worst knights team in years

Looooool clearly not neutral mate. Have you heard how the CZebs bench carry on? The language they use? Then on-field, look at CZebs #10 for example, as the comment above pointed out, look at his reaction to the penalty shout. Then look at R. Dillon. Great soccer player, and i've also heard a decent bloke off-field, but his on-field antics over the years is questionable.. Hmm nah not sure why opposing supporters give it to them!!

"Knights ONLY won 1-0, Zebs could’ve gotten a draw or even won that game if their forward players were on-form".

Yeah and my social team could beat Man City if our forwards are on-form.. and our defenders.. and the goal-keeper.. and if the half time oranges are nutritious!!

Knights won. CZebs lost. Doesn't matter if it was close or not.

Goodness me. Why are so many people ( teams ) berating each other? Every week I see continual mocking It gets a bit much! Walter dedicates so much time for his blog, Actually lifetime of dedication. And yet it seems the keyboard warriors who week after week post such negative comments about players & teams all like to remain anonymous. Go figure. These young athletes put their bodies on the line for the love of football, how must they feel to be put down week after week by small minded has beens who think they know everything. Interesting how you don’t comment on other social media pages because then we would know who you are. How about using Walters blog for positive comments & a general good discussion around football & the game we love. Positive feedback when you know a player or team has excelled in a game rather than hurling comments that are totally unnecessary. Try being nice! You never know, it might make you a better person. And yes, my post is anonymous as well, maybe because I myself may have criticism thrown at me.

Anon 11.18.
Don’t you think many of these comments may be by players about other players and clubs?
Wake up to yourself. Many of these players get paid for performing and when that don’t then
those watching Ave every right to say what they like.

Ok let’s just all calm down stop fighting and cheer up by watching the Vincent goal over and over and having a good old laugh at the Zebras backs again

Anonymous said...

Oh right , so the Zebras bench is out of control ? Short memory you Knight supporters . Seem to remember your coach actually running into an on field scrap and throwing an opposing teams player 6 feet towards the dugout ?

Anonymous said...

Then you understand why.

Thanks as always Walter for your website
I agree that knights got the points and a win is a win a game of two half’s from how I saw it but I think it’s a bit rich to throw stones at the zebra bench for questioning some very poor decisions not the best official performance surely both sets of fans can agree on that
never heard of passion I’m sure the Sherman’s might have maybe in that sth all in brawl ??
And on another note very poor behaviour by the knights “ faithful” behind the goals carrying alcohol around the ground calling partners of players words that can’t be posted - and such behaviour coming from committee and club members - people in glass houses one must think !!
In todays society and with the state of the game and the difficulty to get numbers at games I struggle to see how we can promote the juniors from each club to come and support the seniors when such a carrying on of blatant abuse - swearing and hooligan type behaviour is allowed by the home team at such an event - not the first time if I recall

I think everyone can gather that the majority of the comments have come from Knights Supporters. Let’s break the game down accordingly. Knights Won, but it wasn’t a easy game for them, both teams went head to head, down to the wire. Knights GK made fantastic saves which dominantly kept them in the game, Knights 14 dictated the tempo of the game well too, however this could’ve gone the other way, if you don’t agree then you clearly weren’t watching the game properly. It was a 1-0 score, very close game hats off to Knights Number 7 making a superb run.

Secondly; I’m surprised with the comments regarding Zebs defense, especially knowing that Knights only scored 1- early in the first half? I don’t think Knights number 7 would’ve gotten away with that goal if he was marked by Zebs 9 or Zebs 16, Zebs number 5 had a bad day. no disrespect if Zebras defense were that bad they would’ve let 7 in..

This season has definitely shown exciting results and football and I’m
Curious to see how it goes, for the rest of the season

Thirdly; the berating shouldn’t be justified by using Zebs as example, if Zebs supporters jump in the ocean are Knights supporters gonna follow? Don’t think so.

The comment “Zebs supporters used to go off on their own players” shouldn’t be a reason to why Knights supporters can get away with the comments they made during the game, making negative personal comments purely because they play for the opposition team is beyond me, unacceptable.

Zebs Coach didn’t lead by example either.

To conclude congratulations to knights for winning!

I am not a Knights supporter. I am a New Town Eagles supporter.

My comment simply stems from "neutral" supporters (not sure about that..) complaining about Knights fans "berating" Czeb players.... When Czeb's player and staff actions are questionable.

I just wanted to post something about throwing stones and living in glass houses.

I am not a fan of the "berating", but I am happy to point out potentially why Czebs copped what they did, be it fair or unfair.

So much negative banter. Fun to read though. Bagging the Czebs bench, bagging the Knights supporters. These comments are quite humorous. Made me watch the livestream but I couldn’t hear the going’s on. I will say the Knights fellow, number 7 well & truely deserved his goal. What a brilliant run, what a bloody fantastic goal. I noticed comments mentioning he wouldn’t have scored if Czebras defence had turned up? Looks like he took it all the way down the field! Can’t blame defence, where were the midfielders? Actually where were the whole team? Contender for goal of the year right there I would say. Speed, skill & precision. Well done 7
