Fourth-placed Wellington Phoenix beat bottom-side Adelaide United 1-0 in their A-League clash in Christchurch this afternoon.
A 22nd minute strike by Jon McKain separated the sides.
Adelaide failed to clear a corner from the left and McKain turned and slammed home a left-footed shot inside the far post.
