South Hobart progressed to the
semi-finals of the Lakoseljac Cup competition with this 5-0 win over Southern
Championship side Taroona at the picturesque Kelvedon Park.
It took the visitors a while to get
on top and it was not until the 41st minute that Loic Feral headed
them in front from a corner from the right.

Taroona were spirited and attack-minded,
but they found the going tough.
Their only chance in the first half
came in the 18th minute when their Japanese player, Kanato
Hamaguchi, sent a shot from range over the crossbar after he spotted Kieran
Brown off his line.
South Hobart coach Ken Morton
expressed admiration for Hamaguchi, so don’t be surprised by an approach from
South Hobart.
Taroona continued their stubborn
resistance in the second half and it was only in the latter stages that South
Hobart got on top and steam-rollered their opponents.

Goals by Iskansder Van Doorne, Adam
Gorrie, Sam Tooze and Ben Hamlett finally flattened Taroona.
The visitors had quality on the
bench, including defender Hugh Ludford and striker Ben Hamlett, so there was
only ever going to be one winner.
South Hobart have a date with Olympia
Warriors at South Hobart Oval in the semi-finals in a couple of weeks’ time.
