Great cup futbol port should have been clear first half if mann was still there. But fair play Smith tweaked it & Zebras came out 2nd half.then it's lottery
Horrible send off. Goes against the spirit of the game. Should look to play netball next year after a dive like that.
Ho hum.. Same 3 teams once again to battle it out to win the 2 prizes on offer.
Boring.
Why was the referee wearing yellow today???
these two teams have to be real sick of each other by now, 3 matches in what feels like 3 weeks that have been separated by 1 goal and 2 pens in shootout.
Zebs can’t expect to win things when they consistently
play well for one half only. They do it too often.
Very rarely do they play a good first half and follow it up with
a good second half. Especially against good sides.
They have been like this for many years.
@anonymous 8:04PM, are you for real? Whatever the level of force, that was a clear send off for Hey, violent conduct everyday of the week. Bit rich of anyone down South to say "are the ref's in yellow"? Should come to a match at Valley Road anytime the Strikers play fellow "top 4" opposition, the calls are well and truly biase towards the southern visitors. Anyway, it's always a pleasure seeing Stone rub up the Zebras bench and fans the wrong way with his suggestive gestures. A league needs characters and personalities and he is one of them. Quality.
I agree with 'Unknown @ 8.04pm' it was a pretty soft sending off and Giampaoli milked it for all it was worth. But there was also no need for Hey to swing the arm at all. By swinging the arm, he gave the referees (and linesman) a decision to make.
Agree why did Hey do it there was no need for it been playing the game along time now .dont do it you’ll stay on pitch
Best teams in the world have Discipline.you should know South Americans are known for it look at Neymar .I remember France 98 Argentina Beckham did less than hey and got sent off.and the country wanted him hanged for it don’t let them get to yer
How Mulraney didn’t get sent off is beyond me
The tackle on huigsloot in the box was disgusting
Absolute leg breaker
What planet are you all on? Watch any game on the television set and you will without doubt see a player lying around on the ground feigning an injury like he was just shot. After the seemingly appropriate action is taken by the duped referee the alleged injured player jumps up and plays like a champion. This is routine in our sport. Suck it up Zebras. Yet again no trophies for you. Maybe next year. Then again perhaps not.
Devonport used to play the game in the right spirit. Now they are the worst team in the league for milking free kicks and rollong around when they are not even hurt. Not the look we want for our game. Devonport were very lucky that Giampoli was the only one that was booked for "simulation". He could have easily been sent off as it happened many times. And there were several others. Zebras very unlucky
Wasn't TP best game agree but Hey action's left him open to a card was it a yellow or red ???????
Agree with 953am
Shocking tackle studs up
Mulraney somehow escaped a red card for a blatant elbow against South Hobart earlier this season
Mr Peart was the same referee that game ...
Mulrany tackle was disgusting and straight red, Stone made that many fouls he could have had 4 yellows and Fitzgerald should have had 2 yellows in 1st half. Riley Dillon booked for celebrating with crowd but syson did it last week and got nothing?? No consistancy from refs this year
Spirit? What a load of nonsense crap. NPL is for winning. How you get there is irrelevant.
Stupid from Jayden to strike the Dev player like that - Looked like the zebs players had lost all self control from where i was. Not sure smithy had the ability to calm his players down and play football.
Zebras seem a lot worse than this time last year - Master coach or Out of touch ??
Strikers had 5 cautions and 3 pens turned down - Hardly think the ref was wearing yellow.
But Riley Dillon wasn't booked for celebrating with crowd
Anon 5.56.
A player should be penalised for celebrating with supporters ? You must be f....g joking
He didn't leave the field of play or jump the fence.
Mate get a life
