Zebras pack it up. Things need to change.

Anonymous said...

At least the under 21's have a go !

Anonymous said...

They are rubbish maybe it is time for their commitee and coach's to move on men's program stuffed.
Women's program gone to the proverbial, should of stayed on the western side of river the merger didn't work

Devonports 4th and 5 th goal ? What was the zebras number 12 doing ?

Anonymous said...

Reply to Jace, bloody harsh comment re number 12. Thought teams have a goalie and 10 players on the pitch so where was all the others to back him up oh I know we don’t trust our player contesting on the wing so we will all run over there and leave goals open. In saying that was brilliant work by Dev for both goals.

Some things don’t change. Penvonport get another soft penalty. And the same referee they get most weeks that reacts to the claims of the parochial crowd there

Anonymous said...

Well there goes the Zebs coach , now for the committee, hopefully the new coach will promote some young guys while the imports are still there

Anonymous said...

You raise a good point. Why is the strikers awarded the best referee every week?

Anonymous said...

Some things don’t change. Anon losers on Walter Pless complaining. I can’t imagine having such an issue you need to complain every week. Does it keep you up at night? Clarence got belted. The pen should have been advantage anyway, got blasted bottom corner. When you dominate games and possession and spend more time in the front third. You’re going to have more chances for a penalty.

DK strikes again President's should run the club ,not be involved in selections

Anonymous said...

Don't forget Devonport scored when the penalty was awarded so the referee actually helped Zebras by awarding the penalty and giving them a chance to save it.

Im not sure that number 12 is to blame for the goals. I would be taking a hard look at the goalkeeper. Clarence should have a look in the under 21's there is a number of goalkeepers that could take his place.
The penalty may of looked soft but if it wasn't called a penalty the ball still ended up in the back of the net from an unstoppable strike so I wouldn't be sooking about that. Maybe if Clarence worried more about what they could change and do rather then sook about a decision that the referee isn't going to change his mind about.

So Clarence no coach and no TD the board must answer

Anonymous said...

What Keepers, it was only the other week people were questioning the goalkeeper depth at Clarence and now you're saying they have a surplus, there is no depth

Anonymous said...

112 you could not seriously think that guy is the best referee.? ? Oh wait I get it. You are a Devonport supporter.

Anonymous said...

The referee development officer refs Devonport every week

Anonymous said...

Zebras could get one of the under 21's to coach

Mathew Dyson said...

This is a heartless attack on two young up and coming players. Josh Jones is 21 just won the u21’s league with South Melbourne and would be the leading keeper in this state for his age. The only person that WAS at Clarence at the start of the year that would have the potential to play would have been Aidan Featherstone who was pushed out to accomodate a certain overage player in the U21’s. Unfortunately for Clarence he could have been one of the best keepers in the state in 10 years time, South Hobart will now be the beneficiary.

Number 12 Jack Maundrill is a 16 year old kid who just captained Australia in Futsal. Do you really expect a 16 year old to get his positioning perfect every time against mature players? He was playing in a position that is foreign to him at right back. He primarily plays up the park.

Put your name to your comment otherwise it’s just gutless sniping

Problem is it’s not a Futsal game and obviously the coach should have positioned him better if he thinks he is ready to play against (mature players) . As for the young goal keeper he has talent and will get a lot better as time goes on , he’s a lot better than the old Clarence keepers who were getting 6,7,8, and 9 goals a game scored against them

If you call that the best referee the game in Tasmania is truly in a bad way.

Devonport absolutely dominated in possession and clarence have a tendency to make terrible/ late/ dirty challenges anyway. It’s too bad we can’t actually celebrate what a good team looks like… instead everyone blames the ref and devonports luck every week. They seem to get a lot of luck… if it happens over and over it’s not luck

Dyson has tried to defend a young keeper that will be on of the best in the state for at least the next decade. He believes in it so much that he put his name on the post. You taking a cheap shot without putting your name on the post is gutless

Lizard said...

Moose, I never said anything bad about the keeper , I said he will get better ?

Anonymous said...

A good point made by Dyson regarding young Jack. Makes you wonder why a coach would put him in as a defender against the best attacking side in the league ? That's just dumb ! No wonder he has departed . They have a decent group of under 21's with a couple of good midfielders and defenders to put in a position they play makes absolutely no sense , hope the lad won't lose confidence through this stupidity

Anonymous said...

Sam Boscoe has NPL experience and potential and can play left or right back. They got young Will from Olympia to play that position so unless they are injured why play a 16 year old out of position

Anonymous said...

3 or 4 Zebras coaches from their senior men’s program were moved on last year so Brett could bring in his own crew. Now Zebras NPL team is being looked after by their Goal Keeper coach. Classic Zebras

Anonymous said...

Who did BP bring on? And who did he let go? Curious to know

Anonymous said...

Not only were they coaches who got pushed out end of last year, they were dedicated club people, plus plenty of clubman who played were pushed out also.
It’s those type of people (coaches & players) who are dedicated, that need to fix these issues…. But those bridges would be burnt now!

Head coach did a great job of ruining the club.

Anonymous said...

Time for the crony crew at the top to move on ,they all hang around slapping each other on the back saying what a great job they are doing.
But all their senior teams are rubbish.
The President and his .ates have to go.

Anon 7.38 pm.
This club has been like this for 20 years.
Nothing will change unless things change.

Anonymous said...

Reply to 7.27 pm, Exactly both Sam Bosco and Cane Hatcher are excellent defenders that would have did the job instead of terrorising young Jack by playing him out of his normal position

You are up early !
They all live in their own little world , oblivious to the real things going on and things that matter. Slaps on the back is certainly true.
Clarence United would have been better off folding .
