Can the syson supporters defend this result?
Hess copped a lot of flack earlier in the season. But Kingo consolidating a top 4 spot after their start to the season has been a good effort. Dev still far too good compared to anyone else. Knights no depth. South will be okay moving forward in coming years. Launnie united and Zebs need to reassess. River and launnie need to go.
City have gone backwards. They need to bring an experienced coach to the club. Experiment failed. You can defend and say ‘trying to play possession based football’ but means jack if you can’t win. Stone back to Port surely

I’m not sure what Beachside have been thinking this year, spent all that money, sacked a loyal coach and replace him with a bloke who’s lost every match in charge and taken them to bottom place in the championship. A once proud club run into the dirt

They were one off bottom when the “ loyal coach” as you describe , was there.

Beachside were a successful and competitive championship club. Not anymore with the Hobart City takeover
No Beachside mention in the new Hobart City Academy. Didn’t take them long!
Beachside don’t exist anymore. They were taken over and the results speak for them self.
Anon 4.27 I think 3.31 was drawing attention to the fact that while Beachside were not performing well they had a loyal dedicated coach and sacked him without due diligence on his replacement and went from bad to worse. I understand the club also lost coaches in junior teams, women’s and had problems at board level. The comment made perfect sense to me …… It draws parallels to the Clarence Zebras experiment.

I think looking at zebras last game you have to be happy that the squad had a 17 two 17 yr old full backs a 19 yr old cb a 17, 19 and 21 yr old midfield then Dillon and the two imports must look good for the future and with a 3-0 win any teams younger in the first 11 ?

Hobart City has been dead a long time, they’ve just proved money doesn’t bring yourself back to life if you don’t have the players as your focus.
Well done FFT. So, the league having 3 Launceston teams has really gone well. Now the three bottom teams and Olympia’s ‘replacement’ team already has a Goal Difference of minus 80. You must be so proud of your decisions!

3.00 pm. Totally agree. Another terrible decision. U gotta feel for Olympia. How United got in is a joke. FT have a lot to answer for. They are supposed to improve our game and yet are the main obstacle!

Olympia isn't crushed each week,they were in the running recently, plus if they were NPL they would have players at the club that left to play NPL .

FT is a disgrace with their decisions over the years .
People with no vision want to hit KPI like a business.
They have a potential influx of players but watch them and some clubs stuff it up.

Olympia may have lost players to other clubs but nearly all of them play in reserves most of the time indicating they are not quite good enough for NPL. If they stayed at Olympia would they improve the squad ? Maybe yes but would still be near bottom of ladder.
There isn't one senior player from last year playing seniors NPL anywhere else.
They lost sloan, vivarelli, simaan and pickup who played npl for them last season.as well as a number of younger players that played championship. Makes a bit of a difference I think and they would be so much more competitive then Launceston united who just picked up their first point for the season last weekend that’s ridiculous come on

Sloan went to South and has only played a handful of games in NPL.
Simaan went to Clarence and has played a handful of games.
Pick up went back to the mainland
Vivarelli is the only one who has played mare than a handful but he too
missed many games.
They may be more competitive than Launceston not sure about the rest.
You have to ask the gentleman from FFT about that .
If you had swapped Olympia for United all you would have changed is the team finishing lasts name. 7 and up would remain.
You have all missed the point. FFT have taken a team away from the South where there is plenty of talent. Their reasoning to include a third Launceston team has done nothing but harm to the existing 2 teams and predictably the new team has 1 point and a pretty bad GD. The three Launceston teams are positioned bottom 3 in the league. Sad times for Launceston NPL!
This npl season has been really competitive from first to 6th then 7th after the window - have to agree that we need the fifth team in the sth who that is has to depend on the criteria ( which didn’t help Olympia ) the utd experience hasn’t worked and there are no signs they are building anything when looking at their other teams
