Pack it up Clarence .
Maybe a merger with Olympia may improve things.

No thanks.
Olympia would never sell/trade their soul and history.
Never.

Hobart Zebras died for this.,.,

Easy for anonymous commenters to stick the boot into Clarence. Last I checked their 21s just beat South and are sitting pretty in second place, and their 17s are in second AND third. That to me is a sign of a healthy club. An under performing senior side doesn’t last forever, strong juniors never lies

South East lost 11-1? Weren’t they second? Must be embarrassment of the weekend, no Callum Brown no party and back to the drawing board me thinks

Anonymous said...

Riverside spent all that coin to finish second last above United. Same for zebras third last

Anon 10.23 am.
People judge a clubs performance by the performance of the senior team.
To make the senior team is the aim , or should be the aim for all juniors.
People don’t look at the ladders for the 2/s or 17s. They look at the NPL ladder.
Wrong or right, All clubs are judged on the performance of their senior / high performance team.
Clarence are no where near any performance let alone high performance.

Lol they have no soul and history says its all about the money. Olympia have nothing to offer any club.

Why is everyone paying out on clubs on the lower end of the ladder? Always will be a last place. Knights will end up 3rd or fourth instead of second the way they are going so that fall from grace is far worse than clubs showing improvement during the season. Growth is important where as going backwards is plain embarrassing. Knights attacking was a comedy show. The 1 goal they scored was in fact a fluke. Laun City should of had 3. Didn’t look offside from where we were.

Pretty sure every team would be paying someone coin or something else in return. Silly comment. That Stef boy from City can play.

Every club that has had success and history says it’s all about the money I reckon. Clarence might find themselves in the championship in a few years time the way they are going if they aren’t protected by fft

Anonymous said...

Incredibly impressive from University nonetheless, SE’s starting team was still strong!

Anonymous said...

City are back baby! We dominated them and it should have been 3

Anonymous said...

What do you man back? You haven’t won anything. Just a game or two.

Anonymous said...

8 actually. Gave Knights a lesson

Anonymous said...

Trophies??

Anonymous said...

6:26. It's not Clarence it's Clarence Zebras and no they won't end up down there with Olympia. The are not protected either.

Mate there are petty people on here that just want to bag CLZ at every opportunity. To think they were nearly 3rd at one point.

Anonymous said...

They beat South a few weeks back. Pull your petty head in.

Well clearly the club as a whole is flourishing, and has plenty of quality juniors coming through to push for those senior positions in the future. Perhaps they should look at the 21s coach to turn things around he’s clearly getting a tune out of the youngsters

What would the cost (of player payments) for CZ senior team?

I could only think a few of the former players and sponsors that gathered on Saturday, watching the flogging from SH unfold in front of their eyes, were thinking the same thing...

Didn't seem to be a great deal of passion or commitment from the players.

Same amount as Knights this year

Anon 7 august 6.28 am.
Yes they they weee third before that played all the teams in NPL.
Then they stared the slide as per every other year .
Nothing changed.

Anonymous said...

Clearly they should look at some of the younger players for the rest of the year but then that would probably ruin the under 21's chances of winning the comp and they have been that good this year they deserve the chance to win

Anonymous said...

It was after they played everyone genius. The slide started after they beat South. Went from playing okay football and winning to rubbish and 3rd last. This is on the players not club.

Anonymous said...

Highlight was Fidras goal when he just went straight through the centre of the Zebras from half way and made them look lazy and stupid again

Anonymous said...

Clarence never wins anything, or the zebras ,they are rubbish club ,and blaming their players now .
Club has no idea

I’m not talking about Knights. Your group of players come from the North but Devonport have been the bench mark for many years now. Why can’t you do the same as us. City is spending big bucks too and with nothing to show for it. You should be happy with your win but then sprouting off about a team that will finish the year above you on the ladder is just trying to prove your own existence in the comp. Keep an eye on the other two Launceston clubs as they may show how lacking you really are.

How are we spending big bucks? Pretty sure all clubs would be the same. So Knights don’t spend ‘big bucks’ also? No one gets big bucks in the state. Unless you accurately can name someone?
