hi Walter, If Riverside have 3 draws then the table should read that they have 3 points..cheers

Genuine question, can FFT view the Donnybrook at Darcy St today and charge players etc ?

I watched the South v Knights and I don't mind a bit of passion but i think both clubs need to be fined at least $2500 for bringing the game into disrepute. Not enough red cards shown to either side.
I would hate to think what the young kid thought of it all as it unfolded in front of him.
A good game marred by this type of behavior.

My observations from the South’s V Knights game !
Shermo can throw an opposition player at least 4 feet by the throat
Nick Morton won’t back up his mates in a fight ( even Kenny got there faster than Nick wandered over ) and he still managed to get a yellow for No reason !
Mark Moncur is too old to be an MMA referee!
Both teams attacked each other’s ankles from the first minute
The referee didn’t have a clue who to give yellows or reds too

James Sherman and the assistant coach for Glenorchy Knights should be suspended for the rest of the season, absolutely disgraceful for coaches to get involved in that mess. And then Stratos just randomly giving out yellow cards to no players involved ? What an absolute shit show

Just watched replay of south vs knights goal highlights. Can someone fill me in on South’s goal number 5 please? Is it ethical for a goal to be kicked & for 2 players or subs ( not sure) to run on the pitch to hug & congratulate? Surely not. Thoughts please? Don’t go for either team but very curious

So when do we start talking about Sherman losing his job?

Anonymous said...

Dd Sherman grab young Sam by the throat if so he should be suspended for at least 18 months.
If Football Tasmania are serious about what happened they should conduct their own investigation into the matter and the appropriate punishment to go with it.

Anonymous said...

Was Sherman booked?

Anon 12.41,,
I’m glad you mentioned that I was in bewilderment myself when I seen it live

Anonymous said...

Subsequent punishment should occur. You can't blame the referees in live play, it is difficult for them to spot everything that occurs. But it is clear as day that several South and Knights players should receive one-week bans after reviewing the incident. That isn't acceptable behaviour and we shouldn't settle for that.

Why has NPL TV taken the replay off ? Only showing goal highlights ? It’s a bit late boys we ALL seen what happened so it can’t be covered up !

Anonymous said...

Looked like berezansky started the issue from the footage. Handbags

Interesting that the full replay of the game and even the highlights of any yellow and red cards have been taken off the NPL TV website after they were on there last night. Me thinks FT may be dishing out a few more penalties than what was originally given. But let's hope Nick Morton has his slice of cheese reversed because he did bugger all.

Only red cards can be revoked.

Somebody obviously has a massive amount of pull with the NPL TV site

NPL TV take the full match replay off. What a joke, imagine if the AFL and NRL started taking match replays off after an incident has occurred during a game. What a joke this sport has become in Australia!

If someone took a couple screen shots of the scuffle, hypothetically of course, where would be the best place to send them?

Anonymous said...

Good to see some clubs have the balls to play hard needs to be more of it I’m surprised ft removed the footage that quick Would of thought it would take them 6 months like everything else

Exactly right, if it were anywhere else it would have been on the nightly news that coaches and bench players were involved in an ugly fight which is obviously being covered up so as not to add further scrutiny to Football Tasmania and it’s lack of Leadership and Honestly

Anonymous said...

I would imagine it would only have been done at the request of FFT or the clubs.

Anonymous said...

The problem is the Referee very poor again far to friendly with players !

Anonymous said...

From what I saw , the Knights bench had no right to interfere or touch players on the field.
If an opposition player does something against the rules then the referee will deal with that.
It does not require anyone from either bench to interfere and escalate the situation.
Any Club officials should definitely not get involved and if they did , they should be identified and punished accordingly. That does not assist the situation at all.
As soon as one bench becomes involved the opposition automatically does the same .
It should stay on the field and be dealt with on the field .
Not a great example being set by the Knights as a club and I would definitely not send my child to that club's academy or anything else to do with that club if that is the way their coaches and club officials behave.
Absolute disgraceful.

It didn't happen on the field though did it. It happened off it.

Anon 4.02 pm.
Get a grip.
The original foul or incident occurred just inside field of play.
What followed spilled over the sideline.
Stop being a imbecile or were you one of the ones involved. Really !!!!

Anonymous said...

Started just on it

Anonymous said...

As compared to south Hobart players who gang tackle opposition staff?

Anonymous said...

Same can be said for the South Hobart FC a terrible example being set.
I would not send my child to SHFC academy or their club. It takes two to tango. South Hobart just as culpable. Absolutely disgraceful.

Were Conte & Tuchel watching NPL TV to get their inspiration this morning.

Anonymous said...

Quite literally not one staff member from either club stepped onto the playing field.
Both sides of players and staff were involved

I’m pretty sure the the one Shermo threw landed back in the Playing field

Anonymous said...

We are very disappointed your child won’t be attending the knights academy, if we can reach out to you to discuss Further, please contact us, thanks Karen marbles

Vacuum created by deleting video is just being filled with a lot of partisan, contradictory claims. Really only one solution, I think we can cope.
