I thought the Zebras had stepped up today and had a good game. Two stupid mistakes in the first half cost them 2 goals and probably the game as well . The second half was played with 10 men and they took it up to the Knights without falling in a heap like we are used to seeing in the second halves from them . Dwayne Walsh had a strong game again and didn’t stop pressing and Kane Hatcher added much needed speed and urgency to the defence especially after they lost a man, not sure where he has been all season .

That is a horrendous slide tackle and deserves weeks. That is how you break a leg, absolutely disgusting.

Anonymous said...

Yep the picture tells the story

Anonymous said...

Bloody great photo of the slide tackle and Burgess could end up with 4 weeks off.

Anonymous said...

Nothing better than presenting a trophy to yourself.
Good on ya FT. Nicely done.

Anonymous said...

Pretty standard behavior at Clarence for a while the only thing more offensive are the one or two fools who pipe up behind the goals. Give both the merged clubs a bad rep. Calling Gorrie a marshmallow after that tackle.

Its good to see things return to normal. Port are Champions , Olympia is at the bottom and Knights rein is over thank God.

Anonymous said...

You hear that crap at every ground. Don't just stick it in toCZ .

Anonymous said...

Yet grabbing a player by the throat snd slinging them to the ground is just a yellow. On your argument Sherman should have got at least 3.

Anonymous said...

Soon 10.51.pm
That club has lacked class for a long time.

Anonymous said...

Captions from that brilliant picture , Gorrie (OUCH) ,Cook (I’ve got no part of this ) Burgess (Take That ) Hatcher (Oh, this ain’t gunna end well )

Anonymous said...

The sooner clubs speak up directly together to FT the better the place is an absolute shit show

Year 4 maths said...

Olympia can't be bottom of the table due to goal difference.

Anonymous said...

So was Sherman coaching yesterday from the Bench ?

Anonymous said...

Anon 12.15
Absolutely he was.Not sure why that was allowed to happen ,but you know how it works just ride it out and it will all be forgotten. Its actually a FFT Policy

As a social league player I’d like to personally apologise to all the officials through out the league cup finals for FT not having the decency to award you guys with medals for your efforts through out the finals today at Kgv you guys deserve to be recognised for the crap you guys put up with through out the season pretty piss poor as usual from FT with out these guys our games don’t go ahead then again if it’s not about the NPL the rest of us are just nobody’s

Anonymous said...

So where too for White Eagles now ? Do they become an NPL club or do they reside to social football as the new proposed league may not accommodate them.

Anonymous said...

Equal points , equal last = Bottom

Anonymous said...

Anon 7.31 pm
They stay where they are.Simple.

Anonymous said...

Mate Olympia isn’t last because they have equal points with riverside. They are second last because of their goal difference. Have a look at the table and tell me who’s sitting last, riverside correct?

I have heard that the Championship teams of the NPL clubs will become an underage competition with some overage players.
So the question is what happens to those Championship players who would be deemed as surplus?
We've already been down this track with the under 20 competition and look how that turned out.
Can FT afford the income loss? I doubt it.
FT needs to make decisions that is best for all football just not NPl as the NPL can not sustain FT finances. The social leagues are important part of our games make up but don't get the day of light from FT as they palmed it off to whoever would volunteer to do it.
The way iI see it it ,NPl and under pinned by underage competition and social leagues next year.

Unfortunately you are an idiot my friend.
For example, the 2011/12 English premier league title was decided by goal difference, which is why this rule exists.
If there was relegation, this would also decide which team would be relegated.
Or did they award both teams a trophy in the 2011/12 season for finishing on equal points.
Ummmmm,not, they did not.
Have a nice day.

Read the 1st comment I made mate . I never said last I said bottom. Then it got jumped on. Let's be honest though. All they have to fight about is weather they are last or 2nd last. A club in decline.

Anonymous said...

Is this the same in the female competition

Anonymous said...

Sherman is a State Coach hence protected by the Federation apparently ,Morton got done for his interview what a circus we have at Football Tasmania at present you just wonder how deep it all goes .

Anonymous said...

Make comment to good opposition players and then wonder why they can't attract players to the club, these guys at clarence have no idea

Anonymous said...

Obviously nobody here seems to have heard the constant taunting and crap that comes out of the Knights brains trust in front of the bar at KGV , wake up to yourself

Anonymous said...

Lol - Sherman pulled [INSERT SOUTH HOBART PLAYER WHO WON'T BE NAMED] out of the scrummage. Not Sherman's fault [INSERT NAME] flopped to the ground after acting the tough guy. Wasn't the only staff member to get involved either so not sure why he is singled out. As Walter said, much worse has happened. Was only a bit of push and shove..

Go eagles

Neil mearns and hill street have more silverware than the knights this year

Year 4 maths said...

Bottom implies last.
Oxford dictionary definition of bottom states "in the lowest position" (adjective), so you can understand how the use of the word can be implied.
So again, they are not "bottom" as you implied in your first comment.

And the only thing in decline is your use and understanding of the English language.

Anonymous said...

At least the pictures are absolutely brilliant and non bias on this site ! Not like ( South Hobart fc has just added 195 photos ) 192 of them are of Nick Morton :)

Anonymous said...

Knights are living in your head rent free hahaha

Anonymous said...

Mate stick your dictionary. I know what I meant. My use of the English language is fine. Why dont you go and find something productive to do.

Anonymous said...

It must be a while since Olympia were bottom?

Year 4 maths said...

I'll still like to practise my year 4 maths on working out the goal difference on a sporting ladder if that's all right as you seem to lack the basic maths to do so.
So the productive thing I've done is correct someone who obviously got their first statement wrong.

Anonymous said...

My first statement was correct. Your an idiot , here ends the lesson.

Year 4 maths said...

Your first statement along with the rest of them were incorrect.
And the lesson doesn't end until the year 4 maths teacher says so.

You, my friend, go straight to detention for not knowing simple grade 4 maths about goal difference.
