Glenorchy Knights will play a pre-season friendly against Victoria’s Brunswick Juventus at 11 am at KGV Park on Saturday [today].
Brunswick Juventus, who held a training session
at KGV Park on Friday, are in the National Premier Leagues Victoria 2.
Glenorchy Knights coach, James Sherman, was in the stand at KGV Park watching the training session.
“We’re looking forward to the game,” Sherman said.
“It’s a good challenge for us.
“It seems to me that Brunswick will be one of the strongest sides in their league this year from taking to a couple of their players.
“They are one of the favourites for promotion so it’s a good time of the year to get such opposition.”

Sherman said he didn’t really know much about the visiting team and said his side would not be at full strength.
“We’ll have a few away, unfortunately, but you’ll see a lot of new faces,” he said.
“There’s been quite a large turnover from the NPL squad we finished with last season and there’s some quite exciting additions.
“I think there’s a nice balance to the group this year.
“Last year we really lacked quality in areas and I feel there’s a little more depth now.
“We just hope to put on a reasonable show.”
