The Lions are a community club poor again today on the big stage mid table club at best .

Boy Kingborough are poor. With all the yahooing earlier in the year they should have been better. They put a string of about six passes once and that’s it.

South Hobart players have become very arrogant under the current leadership very disappointing.

KGV must have only just been playable. A lot of surface water on the pitch must have made it difficult to play. Quality of football was certainly affected. First goal looked offside for the player obstructing the goal keeper

What impressed me about South Hobart yesterday was the way they bounced back from their first defeat and the disappointment of Wednesday. Being there at the ground you could see they were working for each other, did a lot of hard work, a lot of running. The spirit amongst the group is really strong, and it seems the excellent players who are on the bench are Integral to the team and really add to the momentum every time. Max Clark has created a very good team ethic.

Except for the Kingborough defender who chased Yost still on the goal line keeping him onside...

Drainage on a $1million plus ground should drain better that it did on the weekend.

Play should not have gone ahead in my opinion.

Right back kept Oates on, out of view on the YouTube feed

You clearly have beef. I think their players have high standards and their attitude is about playing up to them. You see that culture at Devonport too. They expect to win. When this turns into entitlement and complacency is where it goes wrong. So far, I think South have avoided this in the current season.

Own goal for Kingbrough’s goal, brilliant header from Lancaster!

Anonymous said...

I doubt South did either on yesterday’s pitch. Very poor take of a comment.

Agree, you clearly do have beef....what club do you support? A coach that instills a confident arrogance is a good coach as far as I can see. The current leadership has done that and done it very well. It's obviously working for them, isn't it. South have been very good to watch this year.

Once it stopped the water went look at 2nd half

Be nice if the commentator did some preparation and got an understanding of what’s going on. Shocking to not know the coaches name and the starting line ups before commentating
. What has happened to cooling. ?

Anonymous said...

Surely there was an employee from the GCC who were available to clear the surface water?

Anonymous said...

I think Kingborough have gone backwards. The board haven’t backed the coach in player investment. Lost 3-4 of their better players from 2024. And it shows.
They’re the real disappointment of the season.

Anonymous said...

Weren’t they always?

Anonymous said...

Finished 4th last year and currently 4th again. That’s not backwards

Anonymous said...

Kgv still better option than Darcy St

Anonymous said...

At least they can still be happy —they’ve got their players' names on the backs of their shirts. Those wonderkids minutes also dried up pretty quickly too.

I see a group of confident, committed players, led by a confident well credentialed coach. They have a clear playing style and each person knows their role and execute it well - whether that be in the starting 11 or off the bench. I haven’t seen arrogance, but a group who have self belief, given their win-loss record and position on the ladder, that is well earned.

Anon 2.44pm. Pooling of water seemed to be a factor for FT at Olympias ground a couple of years ago. One particular employee helped himself to photos of the small pools of water , which also dispersed once swept away.
Where is the difference?

Anonymous said...

Kingborough haven’t been any worse then previous years, knights have had a far bigger fall off.

Anonymous said...

It’s a area FT need to address.

Anonymous said...

Wasn’t their home game so why would they! Nice to see South do some work for once…

Anonymous said...

Who cares if they finish 4th?
Might as well be last. They’ve squad is thin on quality.
They’ve been very poor in the last month.

Anonymous said...

Pretty sure two youth products played against south and week before 1 started and another 3 came off the bench so don’t know how their minutes have dried up.

Anonymous said...

The comment was Boro went backwards. Would rather be in Boros position rather than United Zebras or Riverside

Anonymous said...

Where’s your logic in 4th being the same as last? Also if there squad is thin on quality woudlnt that make finishing fourth more of an accomplishment then last season, interested to see the logic behind your statement.

Anonymous said...

Nor any better then previous .

Anonymous said...

Devenport, Riverside, Clarnace, launie united and knights have all gone backwards Boro have stayed the same

Anonymous said...

Boro to beat Dev for the third time this season, Jon’s got Toms number.

Anonymous said...

I think not falling off after having a new coach come in, making minimal signings and having their 3 best players go to south, i’d say there not doing too bad

Anonymous said...

I suppose Dev have gone backwards after winning everything the past 8+ years. When you’re expected to finish 1st every year , think that speaks volumes on their standard. They’ve actually outplayed South the times they played them and they’re 2-0 against City this year. The 2 loses to Boro really stung them.

Anonymous said...

Winging port another long drive home

Anonymous said...

Chocked again today though, sign all them players and get beat my Boro 3x pathetic

Anonymous said...

The fact that you keyboard warriors mention Dev any chance you get, really shows how obsessed and fixated you all are. I guess that’s what happen when you win everything in the past 8+ years. Wonder how many silverware your clubs have? I’ll wait.
