Status quo should be maintained in NPL Tasmania top-four today

Glenorchy Knights, the NPL Tasmania leaders, face a tricky away game against fifth-placed Launceston City at Prospect at 4.45pm today.

Knights must win to be sure of retaining top spot.

Any slip-up will enable second-placed South Hobart to take over at the top as they are almost certain to beat sixth-ranked Clarence Zebras away at Wentworth Park at 2.30pm today.

Knights and South are level on points so the status quo would be maintained if both sides draw their games today.

Devonport City were given a fright by Launceston United in the first round but recovered to win in a high-scoring match.

A repeat is unlikely today and Devonport, the reigning champions, who are currently third, should beat the cellar-dweller comfortably at Birch Avenue at 2.15pm.

Fourth-placed Kingborough Lions United visit Windsor Park to take on second-last Riverside Olympic at 4.30pm.

The Lions are in good form at present and should triumph in this twilight contest.

Luckily? Zebras didn’t score, u don’t score you can’t win a game.

Clarence played well. They didn't convert a few decent chances, which is what counts in the end.

Zebras dominated the whole entire game to be honest, we barely had the ball we were just lucky to snag a cheap goal before Clarence woke up.

Not sure Zebras dominated the entire game, 22 shots at goal for South to 7 shots at goal for Zebras. South were poor with only 3 of those shots on target.
