Glenorchy Knights have signed former Taroona player Eli Luttmer for the 2021 NPL Tasmania season.
The 26-year-old midfielder has been playing in Victoria for the past7 years but is returning to Tasmania.
Luttmer went to Victoria to study at university seven years ago.
He had been a member of the Tasmania Institute of Sport team but a serious back injury requiring surgery saw him spend a year recuperating.
He then joined his father, Hugo, as a player at Taroona before moving to Victoria.
He has been teaching health and physical education for grades 7-12 at Epping and joined Pascoe Vale at first.
After two years at Pascoe Vale, he teamed up with former Tasmanian Will Abbott at Bulleen Lions, where he captained the side for a couple of seasons and won a best & fairest award.
Luttmer has spent this weekend in Hobart and returns to Melbourne today before returning to Hobart to live on 21 December.
He is likely to be a holding midfielder for Glenorchy Knights.
