Well done Eagles & well done South East United

Boy Clarence were extremely lucky that Knights cannot score.
Why is everything crossed into the box in the air?
Very predictable time after time after time.
Clarence poor. They may have been young but still poor. The number 2 CB won a lot and intercepted many but just belted the ball into the
next suburb. They obviously not coached to keep possession.
Don’t think they made 4 passes all day.

Glenorchy Knights have no one to blame but themselves for not being in a title winning position at this point of the season. The points they have dropped against teams that should have beaten comfortably and the goals not scored in matches overwhelmingly dominated by possession shots and corners has come back to bite them. In the event that they beat Devonport in the upcoming match (some would say unlikely) they can only draw level on points but have a five goal difference for and against. What added pressure would it have put on Devonport if they had just put one fifth of the goals they should of against Olympia and the Zebs over the last two weeks. Not to mention being 2 nil up and drawing 2 all, being 3 nil at half time go into cruise mode and not add another goal. An argument could be made that they just don't have the killer instinct, don't have the mongrel in them to really finish a team. I couldn't imagine Sherman wouldn't have them playing as hard as they can all the time but it seems a malaise has got into the team, maybe next year......

Agree with your comments about Knights not having killer instinct. What they do have is a little too much ego and ego doesn’t score goals. A quality striker creates goals and this is exactly what they are missing. They don’t have a bad line up but their puzzle has a couple of missing pieces that they desperately require. It’s as if they only have two thirds of the necessary players to make them complete.

A long time between drinks for White Eagles and the title is theirs as i can not see them losing the last three games.
Is there a finals series ?

And what ego is that? Genuine question

Alex Walter leaving Knights hurt them big time. Would love to know how Knights would be sitting if they kept him.. I guess we will never know.

I've heard Knights are trying to lure a former Golden boot winner there for next season...

Alex Walter not a natural goal scorer.
Better out wide getting in behind fullbacks than goal scorer.
He was the closest thing that’s knights had so they had to play him
as a number 9.

Brayden Mann???

Anonymous said...

He scored 14 goals last season and got the golden boot in his first year as a striker hahahah did he ever get that many at south on the wing?

Have heard similar rumours... Interesting if it happens.

He is still a better wide player than number 9.
14 goals in how many games ???? 21?????
Not good enough in my opinion.
By the way I am not criticising Alex.
I have rated him as a great player in wide areas
setting up numerous chances for other team mates.
Something Knights are not able to do at present.

14 in 14 last year its hard to understand why you think he is better out wide last season was easily his best ever it's the reason why he got seen for Melbourne

Knights do set up chances they just don't score them...... because they don't have that striker

If it's true, I'd personally rather see him move back to South if he's going to Hobart. They could do with an experienced high quality player around the young squad.

Saying that, I doubt if he came back that he'd go anywhere but the Strikers.

I have heard Andy Brennan.

I have heard Cristiano Ronaldo

You will learn in time that Andy B is indeed the player that will be playing with the Knights.
I have this information on good authority.

One would think it is a huge step backwards for Andy to return to Tas to play at this time in his career. Only reason for him to do so would be to escape continuous Covid lockdowns. But it is only a matter of time and we too will have lockdowns. If by chance he does join Knights, it will most certainly be for an undisclosed amount.

After his last stint in Tasmania, I'm not sure that's a great signing for Knights. Knights need a genuine number 9, goal scorer. If I'm Knights, I'd rather go after a Brayden Mann type player.
