So correct me if I’m wrong but some young fellows played in the under 20s cup then benched ( and went on to play) in Laka cup. Does this mean they are now cup tied to Laka cup and can no longer compete in under 20s cup? Sorry for my ignorance, have read the rules but am still unsure.

I’m really amazed Devonport even bothered to send out the Keeper in the second half , what is going on at Wentworth Park ? Same rubbish every week and same lack of enthusiasm from the same players . I’m really sick of seeing the same guys get dispossessed or beaten in defence and instead of having a second go and try and win possession they just stick one hand on the forehead and scream and obscenity.Just not good enough for A so called NPL Club to tolerate week after week .And don’t even bother with the one man down excuse they were already 3 zip and was lucky not to be 15 zip in the end . The worse thing about this disgrace is there seemed to be twice as many Devonport supporters at the ground than Zebras . Does the coach need to go ? I just pray to god none of these players are getting paid !

Time for a change at Clarence Zebras .

Has the amalgamation worked for either club?

One thing is for certain has not worked for Hobart Juventus.

Haven’t they just gone through a huge change?
They have changed coach changed ground changed club
changed TD. But nothing has changed??????

It seems to me the strikers are well and truly above every one else the squad they have is a joke. If they don't win every thing this season that's a failure.

For the Zebras the trouble is a lot deeper than the lack of talent in the squad unfortunately .When you have to beg and fight to be able to train on your home ground because Clarence Council is more reliant on the revenue from the touch football played during the week it’s not a great look for any club .

Antonio , the club didnt carry out proper due diligence on the situation in respect to access to the facilities.
Everyone knows that the Clarence Council does not give a toss about our game. The original Clarence club would have known this.
It seems that things were but looked at closely enough before the merger. It appears one club has benefited hugely from the merger. The other hasn’t. It’s going to be a long long long road ahead for CLARENCE FC.

The only Clarence FC are the one's at Blundstone oval.

Clarence soccer club merged and sadly they're toast.

The Council made promises to the football club that they have not delivered.

You are all having a go about Clarence. what about launceston City, Riverside and Olympia as they are not NPL standard.
We can at least agree that the best 8 teams are not in the NPl. Riverside are going backwards i believe , Hobart united proved that they can more that match it and White Eagles threw the game away against Olympia.
You can all say this is a one off and that could be true but Hobart united play that way every week.
I understand olympia have lost players and that's a good reason why they have dropped off but why can't launceston get two competitive teams from the players that play in that area.

Spot on. And do you think that the Council give a toss or are answerable to anyone?
The merger was jumped at because of the lure of $$$$$ from canteen and having their own complex. However anyone with half a brain would have known. or should have known that when you don't own it , you cannot do what you want, when you want . It is council property and always will be and they control its use.
Biggest mistake ever made by the dominant club . Try and get out of that situation easily now.
The only benefit is the increased $$$$$ through the canteen but that again, has still not produced any success .
Deeper problems.......
