If Clarence Zebras hope to finish any higher than second last this year they clearly need to find a couple of good young defenders .The current defence is just not quick enough and are not able to read the play. The two boys At the back in the championship game could actually teach them a thing or two on how to put your body on the line and shut down the attack especially the little right back who was just awesome to watch. You can’t keep saying to a team don’t worry it’s only early in the season it just don’t cut it you need to put the right team together from the start !
Mate the two centre backs put their body on the line too much that's why they aren't very good and then they put their mouth on the line aswell not a great thing to do when you can't beat anyone placed above you
Heard a few of the Canadians from Clarence and others are on their way back to Australia let's hope one's a defender we really need to tighten up at the back
Bring Odaine back we surely could use him
NPL Tv is a dude full of issues week in week out .
Re Alfonso :: yes my friend you are dead right ,the little right back you mentioned is Kane Hatcher I think he has only just came back to Clarence and was playing NPL at a young age for them and certainly gets the job done , only caught the 2nd half of the championship game yesterday and he really put on a show in defence .Not looking good so far this season but hopefully we get a lot better sooner rather than later .
Couldn’t make it to the Zebras/Knights NPL game. Finally watched the replay after usual hiccups with the NPLTV sight! Interesting game this one. Very scrappy game really from both sides. Very surprised with Vincent being subbed early as this kids a gun! I like watching Jack Bowman play, doesn’t get enough recognition for his hard work. Sam Hills is another that doesn’t take a breather. Just my thoughts.
Riverside are not NPL standard for second year running.
Better for the competition if they are back in NC and give the other NPL teams a bye
After watching Olympia barely touch it against Devonport the week previous, I thought Riverside might be half a chance at home to pick up some points against the Warriors, but instead they shipped 5. Along with Taroona in the WSL searching for players on social media after letting in 15, the makeup of the two state leagues may need a good review by season's end. Hopefully these two teams can improve.
