Unbelievable start by Glenorchy Knights, finally put away their chances and killed the game by half time. If they had been as clinical in the 2nd half could well have been double figures. They did still have defensive lapses though. 7 goals against the Lions if a fair thumping.
With that result looks like Dev are going to win the WSL
The two new guys for Zebras really added some spark to their attack. A lot of missed chances for Zebras and a few to City but wasn’t the best of conditions out there today that’s for sure
Can’t agree with you on the 2 new players. 1 played well but the other was like a spoilt child.
South East making history for their young club!
Walsh comes on as a super sub! And then Zammit hits the ice in the veins celebration after a clutch penalty. They are going to be tough to stop in the back end of the season
No comments from Kingborough fans ?
What’s wrong??????
City are crumbling! What is going on with them?
Signed the coach of South East United
Easy the other clubs are not even in their Class
Boro pretenders. Got 2 of the best attacking players in the league but concede far two many goals to be a title challenger. Was an obvious solution to improve defence but did nothing in transfer window.
CAn someone tell me why a certain referee gives himself the big games when he is not up to it. Yet another soft pen to Penvonport and an obvious second yellow to capalino not given. There are several better refs than him. What is going on here. Just wrong.
Don't forget about the yellow for diving for devonport player and then a south player dives 2 minutes later and no yellow? But must be favouring devonport.
Was standing behind the goal, Devonport penalty, fair and square. Souths first goal and absolute fluke, and didn’t they score a goal in Devonport when they last met when the goalkeeper kicked into and on coming attacker. Thought he might have learned a lesson or was that a different keeper. Devonport coach never stopped coaching after his send off, passing notes shouting out instruction and using signs language. I think the ref gave himself R S I with the number of cards given out. End of the day a hard slog for both teams, neither deserved to better the other. Helped out the Knights, it’s up to them to take advantage if they can.
Two of the best attackers? Who may they be?
Would love to know how bad the pitch was at Birch Avenue for that to be called off but Darcy Street still fine to play on?
If referee pulled out a yellow for every Penvonport diver he would run out of cards. Will be even worse with the new diver just signed.. He will fit in well there.
You usually need to get a first yellow before you can get a second yellow…
Anything to help out South
PeNights are the new divers
Only signed Syson to get Stone to City. Poor Stone needs to go back to Devonport and finish his career off there
Pitch was fine at Darcy . Stop crying. Winter time in Tassie what you expect. Weather and pitches in England is 10x worse . And of course Coads gives Dev a penalty when Oates was hacked down in the box and no call. Move on
Pitch was fine? You must be mental that pitch is more mud than grass. Not sure how they are even allowed to use it.
Get over it. Guessing you never played on a muddy pitch before. That’s FOOTBALL. Sure the players don’t mind getting muddy and getting stuck in and that’s what both teams did. Nothing like finishing a game being covered in mud from head to toe
...toot
You can’t honestly think that those conditions improved the spectacle? That was a terrible game to watch, largely due to the pitch.
At first you’re complaining that the pitch isn’t playable and now you’re crying about the quality of the game? Not sure if you’ve played before..you have the top 2 teams playing for the title on a muddy pitch …did you expect both teams to play pretty football with the conditions ? Watching the game it was exciting..2-2 with a bunch of yellow cards thrown around. With the title on the line it would be foolish to try and play pretty football..one mistake or slip and you concede a goal. Cry more
Protest to the HCC.
Where is the spiritual home of soccer in Tas?
Except that because of the pitch there was plenty of slipping…
Muddy dog park
I for 1 thought it was a ripper of a game. Good old fashion football with a muddy pitch and a fair amount of tackles. Any updates on young Yost? Seemed in a decent amount of pain.
How can you honestly say that penalty was deserved? Take a look at the replays. Number 18 did what he was doing all day, dived right over the keeper who clearly got the ball.
Agree an awful decision. The penalty in the South Devonport game clearly the keeper got to the ball with his hands as the rule states. Ref's need to stamp out diving in our game before it becomes the
norm and ruins it!
Thank you for your insightful comment and understanding of the game. Good luck refereeing in the future
Where is my dog meant to go to the toilet this week if the ground is shut?
Brains trust behind that appointment need to cut ties
So pitches of the English standard are fine. But if Knights fans chant mild abuse compared to English fans it’s wrong?
Whoever the 2 players were in the centre that Joel Stone made fools of with the lacklustre defence need to be dropped to the under 10 side next week
Your dead right they would be so embarrassed
