Well hasn’t that weekend of results changed things a little. The Knights up and about again, savaging the Lions. Devonport and South kicking each other mercilessly in a 2 all draw. Three points covering the top three teams. Nine rounds to go and they all have to play each other and without making any rash predictions, Knights v Strikers on the last day could be a decider. Goal difference could be the difference. Still a long way to go. The lions will be disappointed their season looks shot, but a wounded animal is a dangerous beast, I thing they may have a say in the final standings, they are capable of taking points of the top three.
Wondering how much training time Devonport allocates to practicing diving??? Number 18 was the worst of them all. It would be worthwhile for refs to review video of game.
Thanks for your question. They spend 25 minutes per training session. I hope this helps you sleep better.
Very disappointed with playing surface health hazard to players game should have been played some where else hope Hobart City counsel will do something about it.
Gee, go and have a look at some footage of grounds at this time of year from the 70s and 80s.
Hahaha think your name is Karen and not Karl. I’m guessing you never played football on a muddy/wet pitch. Players love it
Nothing wrong with the playing surface. It’s an outdoor winter sport played predominantly on natural grass. It was slippery but the players can compensate with the correct boots. It was not a quagmire it was just wet and slippery. Wake up to yourself Karl or is it Kevin. How long have you been involved in the game.
What do you all mean that's the Home of Football and hosting our pride and joy of the national second division - was the perfect pitch to play on.
That Dev coach needs to have a good think about his behaviour. Not a good example.
A regular offender.
A fantastic contest. I’ve just watched the replay.
Whoever is the backup to Mr Cooling - please take a back seat. You’re not at his level yet.
Number 18, I’m sure you know his name, is off to the Olympics due to his diving skills. I’m sure this makes your post relevant now. Well done you
I am worried about players health dogs have been on the ground during the week doing their business rain washed their poo into surface and players heading the ball, handling the ball and diving in rolling on ground and so on but.I have played soccer on that ground for many years long time ago and why don't you put your name when you comment
Do you suggest time in corrective services?
Enjoyed the replay. Agree the other commentator should just watch the game & get Mr Cooling a cuppa at half time.
Another stand out game by Bidwell. Any team in this league would love a midfielder that works his balls off like he does !.
Fair result in the end.
Really enjoyed a super-competitive game on a sticky surface. Thought both teams a credit to the comp.
Check out the tackle on Harry Oates in the penalty box in the 47th minute. Slow it down & in looks
very dubious. Ref not in camera view, maybe his views was obscured. Keith (an obvious South fan).
If the challenge by the Devonport striker shown in the highlights was indeed made when he was already on a yellow card then i fail to see how that couldn't be a second yellow and a sending off...may not have meant it but no where near the ball. His reaction tends to suggest he was worried, south players didn't make enough off it by the looks.
South players didn't make enough off it.
Your a idiot.
Bet you if the shoe was on the other foot you would be upset if you got sent off.
I say well done south players for not trying 2 get a player sent off in such a way.
Grow up idiot and play the game the way it should be played.
Devonport get away with murder when it comes to coad. He simply does not have the stomach to officiate physical and games with intimidating scenarios
Murder. That is serious. I hope you contact the right authorities
Investigation pending
Ref issued a combined 6 yellows and a red to Devonport in the first half. One yellow to south. Second half, nothing to Devonport 4 to south. Make of that what you will.
Karl. 1 July .
If you played on that ground may times years ago , you are still here and have survived the dog poo issue. What about the bird poo and seagull poo that lands on the grass ?
Please .......
That ref should only officiate lonny United v riverside. Leave the bigger games to the better refs. This is long overdue.
Hmmm like Devonport do. Stand near their bench one game and listen to the yelling for cards from there, and and the carry on on the pitch by players to try to get cards for opposition. Pathetic. They should just play good football without this carry on, they certainly don't need to with the quality in their teams.
Carn South - 🤓
