Can someone please explain how that referee gets the big games.especially when dev involved. Does he allocate himself.

Souths first goal looked to be a foul on Strikers Keeper, and one would also argue the south attacker who was offside on the line was interfering with the strikers defender opportunity to play at the ball.

Strikers penalty was highly debatable, poor decision to grant the penalty. No card issued on Xuan when he knocked over the South keeper post penalty scored.

Last should have been a straight red, not a second yellow.

I would think Devonport have more right to be disappointed with the appointment than South!

What a finish to the season. South to play two teams that have taken points of them this season. Strikers to play the Lions next week who beat them when last they met but the Lions will be without the very important Eli Luttmer after being sent off against the the Knights. The Knights have the Zebras next week who have been terrible for most of the season. It’s going to come down to the Knights and Strikers on the last day. I don’t think the Strikers will let themselves go down 4 nil like their last meeting. But we have to get through next week first, is their still a sting or two in the tail.

Looking at the replay there were two missed South Hobart hand balls prior to the goal.

South played their final last week and were found wanting today

Oates could have been sent off in the 57th minute for an attempted punch, also Yost for grabbing the collar of and repeatedly shouldering his opponent in the chest off the ball in the first half. If it weren’t for O’Connell’s heroics it would not have been so close.

That referee is not up to the big games. Yet he keeps giving them to himself when Penvonport involved . And always a dev penalty whether it’s there or not.

Anonymous said...

OMG you are laughable. What crap statements.

Anonymous said...

Look at the keyboard experts come out to play.
Never played a game of senior football and I’m guessing you were too selfish to consider ever refereeing to give something back to the game.
Happy to sling crap on the officials though.
Port were the better team in a tight contest. Xuan was excellent. End of story from a South supporter.

Fantastic to see that DOSA FC might win Div 2 in the social league, great work.

Anonymous said...

Xuan was very good, but it was looking like a different story when he fluffed a one on one and another shot later on. Amazing how quick one goes from the villain to the hero!

Laun City… back to their best.

Anonymous said...

I am confused you have someone that has played senior football coached senior football .

And analysis Football better than most and ,FFT don’t Chase him .

MR the man for me .

Anonymous said...

Stone will surely go back to Port to finish his career. Wasted at City

Anonymous said...

You don’t let up do you 😅

Credit to the rostering team at FT, nice to see it go down to the wire - must make some coaching staff twitchy - Devonport v South game fitting of a championship on the line, was well officiated for a game with so much at stake. Shame the same couldn’t be said about the surface of the pitch - not up to the standard fitting two Premier Clubs in our Premier League.

Anonymous said...

Great club, here’s to a bright future

Anonymous said...

Probably a fair call though. Finish 5th again

Anonymous said...

Shame FT have rostered final games in Hobart but no presentation dinner to follow. All NW and Northern teams are out of pocket again if they want to attend the “State Presentation DInner “ following week. Why are these dates not planned on the calendar at the start of the season?

Anonymous said...

Devonport ground is not much better than Darcy St

Anonymous said...

A south supporter would NEVER admit another team were better. You fool no one

Souths keeper made 3 or 4 terrific saves. Fair result on the day. Enjoyed the atmosphere the many young supporters in the stand created as the scoring got going in the second half. Both sides have to accept the pitch conditions on the day and make the best of it. There 'are' ways of playing in heavy conditions. Just ask some 'old timers' ?. These were normal conditions for most of them !.

Now now. Don’t criticise city. They have improved under the coach. 5th to 5th

Anonymous said...

Nothing like self promotion.......

Anon 9.21.
That is your opinion. I am not agreeing or disagreeing with your opinion however the years of public criticism of FT , wrongly or rightly, by the person you refer to may be the undoing of having a role that you suggest in your post.

Cant we all just be positive. City are a really good team!

Anonymous said...

Stone may have already hung the boots up.

Anonymous said...

Who’s the bloke at south games that makes a high pitched scream everytime they score. Some amtnosphere

Anonymous said...

I agree and with the money that goes into other codes it’s odd that real football can’t have a ground (or grounds) that are up to the requisite standard. You would think that with all that slope at Darcy St, there would be better drainage….

Anonymous said...

Having a go at how people celebrate goals? You really are a miserable troll who no doubt peaked playing under 14 division 4.

Anonymous said...

We were all meant to be positive for United last week, so might as well be positive in this instance too.

Anonymous said...

Agreed. Well done Laun City coach. Improved ladder position again…

Anonymous said...

You’d hope not. Shame he wasted a few years where he did

Anonymous said...

As much as i’d love to say you’re right because you come onto this page to get a little bit of satisfaction in life. There is no u14 div 4 to peak in.

Anonymous said...

I agree that you have to play the pitch as it is on the day - but it shouldn’t be such a poor surface in the first place. This is top flight football : )

Anonymous said...

Surely FFT are not that shallow but then again .

Who says I am talking about Tasmania? Suspect he is a Welder.
