FFT reports Launceston Utd 2 Prospect 6 not 5

Taroona live on! borough had no answers. so much for smashing roona and proving who should be in div 1.

Anonymous said...

beachside go up and olympia go down?

Walter said...

Thanks, Alan. My error. Fixed now.

Cheers!

Nelson scorers were Hanley x2 and Stalker

Beachside can seal promotion next week with a point @uni.

let's be honest, kingborough are probably player for player the worst side in the premier league but have been lucky and played the whole season with 10 behind the ball, olympia and taroona at least try to play!

Anonymous said...

taroona have to win or draw next week against knights, and olympic have to lose for taroona to stay up, what are the chances?

Anonymous said...

is there going to be a play off?

Anonymous said...

How good is it going to be when Knights throw the game and Olympia go down

Anonymous said...

How good will it be when zebras throw the game and taroona go down.. Let's me honest kingbough should go down to div 1

Anonymous said...

Lets be really honest. FFT should be looking to increasing the premier league to 10 teams. Makes for a much better league home and away 18 matches in total.

Anonymous said...

Kingborough are not in the hunt to go down! So lets be honest Anony. 9.27PM if it wasn't fot the ref last week Olymipia would be feeling very nervous!! Goodluck with next week!!

Anonymous said...

Don't Blame the reff.. If it's so easy why don't you reff?.. And 10:17pm, you have a great point, it would make so much more sense and keep it an even closer season.

why change a structure that is working well, team and club are working hard to inprove and div one is puting pressure on premier team. Like any res team put pressure on their senior, keep the promotion/relegation alive

I feel sorry for Geoff at boro because his players show no heart at all for that football club, biggest under achievers in tas football. How about playing for the badge you are wearing

Olympia players need to have a hard look at their selves. No leadership at all on the field yersterday. I'm supported the club for a long time but i wonder why sometimes, The knights had Fielding playing with a cracked ankle and he was still better then any of our 11 players out there. So boys if you show half as much heart as he dose for his club you can win next week but i'm worried

Thanks Mr Phillips -

Roona supporter

Increase the number of teams - u have to be joking. There are not enough quality players to fillthe current teams - I say go back to 8 teams max. It will make Div 1 more even also.

Anonymous said...

Boro have been inlucky with refs this year. Cost them the Clarence and Olympic games yesterday should have been a draw.

Anonymous said...

Come on Olympia. Grow some balls and get out there next week and prove that you deserve to be in premier, play with some pride and passion for the club.

DOWN DOWN DOWN Olympia go

At least div1 clubs will get to play at South Hobart next year.

To be honest, I can see Knights throwing the game next week more than you would see Zebras.
Knights are that sort of club where they have no heart and would sell their souls to the devil just to see Olympia drop.
Be intresting to see if FFT investigate the game if 2 or 3 penalties are given for tackles that any expeirenced player would not make in the 18 yard box.
Shame if it was to go down to that!

Anonymous said...

anon 10.06. how should yesterday have been a draw? was there something i missed?

Anonymous said...

10 team league? the league is crap now... it should be cut to 6 before its put up to 10!

Anonymous said...

At least all premier league clubs will get to play at Sandown!!
What a pathetic statement to say.
Anyone that wants to use South Hobart ground including Nelson, Hobart Utd or any other Div 1 team can do so.
Just have a feeling you will be eating your words.
Anyway, even if Olympia are relegated, South Hobart may not even be used for their home games.

even if knights throw the game to taroona, olympic just has to win on saturday. Far as i'm concerned there has been 20 rounds of football so neither taroona or olympic should complain about what happens next week, they have both got there selves to blame. my tip is a draw on friday night and a draw on sat both games should get good crowds.

Anonymous said...

anon 1:41 PM you say that knights have no heart they showed alot more heart yesterday than olympia did. olympia haven't shown any heart all year being the reason why that are in the spot they are know. the only reason why olympia will go down is because they deserve to and aren't good enough to be playing in the premier league. or are you just trying to make excuses for getting relegated before it happens? not showing much heart there champ!

Sherman back to beachside, holmes n roberts to follow

Anonymous said...

Olympia would be nervous

Anonymous said...

The current Beachside team has a good work ethic, that wouldnt suit Tom Sherman.

Anonymous said...

Anon 1.41PM - as an Olympia supporter I find your comments embarrassing and offensive. No SPL team would lie down. If Taroona beat Knights then we must beat Zebras - its up to us to avoid relegation, not the Knights!!!

Anonymous said...

There will be players trying to earn a finals spot in the Knights team and they will want winning form going into the finals 2 weeks after.

They wont lie down.

Sherman with fitness could be beachsides leading marksmen next year. A few taroona or olympic juniors plus some reserve clarence south and maybe a TIS player or two and beachside have a great mix of youth and experience. also heard dawes n marney to try premierleague next year, interesting to see where they go

Anonymous said...

i love it how beachside always think they are going to pick up Taroona players, yet for the past few years it has seems their has only been steady traffic in the opposite direction...

Anonymous said...

Anon - August 9, 2010 9:20 AM

no one at beachside wants a single taroona player down at our club. We'll be recruiting from South Hobart and Hobart Zebras thank you very much!

Anonymous said...

What kind of sportsman ship is it when you brag about throwing a game? Olympia have nothing to worry about if they go out there and give it their best, thats all any team can do. Perhaps more time should be spent supporting these teams rather than slandering them, or perhaps you'd like to get out there and do a better job yourselves?

Anonymous said...

The Knights are a proud club. I don't think they will lie down in front of what promises to be one of the season's biggest crowds. It should be a cracking game. I'm looking forward to see Amadu get back amongst the goals!

Anonymous said...

Knights wont throw the game not a chance. Can see Fish and Grundy backing off for anyone. Few ex-taroona boys in their team as well I'm sure that they will be up for it as well

Anonymous said...

Knights will play for the win

End of story
