The draws for the State-wide Cup competitions were made at Football House in Glenorchy this morning.
Twenty-two teams have nominated for the Lakoseljac Cup and the preliminary round of six games will be played on 8 March 2021.
These games are (home team first):
Nelson v Northern Rangers
Southern FC v South East United
Beachside v Metro
Barnstoneworth v Taroona
Somerset v Phoenix
Brighton v Ulverstone
In the Women’s State-wide Cup, New Town White Eagles, Devonport and Olympia Warriors have the bye in the opening round.
The other games, to be played on 3 April 2021, with home team named first, are:
South Hobart v Northern Rangers
Clarence Zebras v Riverside Olympic
University v Kingborough Lions United
Ulverstone v Taroona
Launceston United v Glenorchy Knights
The Under-20 State-wide Cup Round-of-16 games, which will be played on 3 April 2021, are:

Burnie United v Glenorchy Knights

Why didnt they do the draw for the first round proper of the Laka CuP ? That would make rostering for that day so much easier, and allow clubs to plan for that day when Womens & U/20 Cup matches are already known?
How do they know who would go through? And who is home and away
