South Hobart will honour two club stalwarts and two players who represented the club for almost two decades at half-time of their NPL Tasmania match against league-leaders Glenorchy Knights on Saturday.
Brothers Brian and Keith Roberts each have about 60 years of service to the club and will be suitable honoured on Saturday.
Brian played for the club and served as a committee member and treasure for a decade or more, while Keith is the statistician for the club.
The contribution of both men is significant and they will go down in history as great servants of South Hobart FC.
Brian has also served as a director of Soccer Tasmania and was chairman for a time.
Keith has produced several excellent booklets of interest to anyone interested in the history of the game in Tasmania.
These include “Tasmanian Soccer: Winners & Losers”; “Tasmanian Football Club Directory”; and “Tasmanian Soccer Records”.
Former South Hobart captains and State representatives Hugh Ludford and Daniel Brown will also be honoured at half-time on Saturday.
Each has played for the club for about 17 years and are now retired.
They were an integral part of the senior-set up which at one stage won six consecutive league championships.

Chris Garrett is the latest addition to the staff of Football Tasmania.
He is the new competitions manager and takes over from Tony Peart, who has been acting in the role and was the former referees’ manager.
Peart is on the move. He will take up a senior referee management position with Football Victoria later this month.
David Smith, the former technical director of Clarence Zebras, is also with Football Tasmania now as the coach development manager.
Smith has been travelling around the State in recent weeks and has been impressed with developments in the North and North-West, where clubs are making great strides in terms of developing their facilities.
Michelle Mizzen has left Football Tasmania, where she was communications and engagement manager.
She has been replaced by Jacob Doole, whose title is digital media coordinator.
Doole is a journalism graduate of La Trobe University and works three days a week for AFL Tasmania and also covers basketball.
He played for Kingborough Lions United for more than a decade.

Launceston City have confirmed Lino Sciulli as their senior NPL Tasmania coach for the remainder of the season and Darren Cooke as his assistant.
Surprisingly, they have also appointed Gabriel Markaj as a ‘remote assistant coach’.
Markaj had a couple of tumultuous years in Tasmania as coach of Kingborough Lions United and Hobart Zebras before returning interstate.
I can only assume that a ‘remote assistant coach’ means he will do video analysis of City matches and offer suggestions to Sciulli and Cooke.

Good to see 'Dogga' & Hugh get recognition for their long service to South Hobart.
Great to see south honouring it's staunch members and players. They are the ones that give meaning to the badge and a social dimension to the game.. save it from not just being another source of entertainment.
