There are two NPL Tasmania games this evening.
At KGV Park, Clarence United are the home team as they take
on Glenorchy Knights at 8pm, while in Launceston. Launceston City host
Riverside Olympic at Bucky Land Rover Park at 6.30pm.
Clarence appear to have no hope against the Knights, but
football is unpredictable and that is what makes it so exciting.
The Knights will be smarting after two straight defeats,
results which have dampened the euphoria the club experienced after returning
to the top flight.
They lost 3-1 to Olympia and 4-0 to Devonport. These are two of the leading contenders for the
title, so Knights needed that reality check.
They need to win this one, though, to get back on track.
They have suffered from the absences of Callum Brown and Tyler
Harrison and they would certainly be boosted if these two are fit and can play tonight.
Clarence have been hammered in their two games to date. They have conceded 17 goals and have yet to
score themselves.
This does not augur well for their chances tonight.
Launceston City and Riverside may well play out a draw
tonight.
Neither has a single point after two outings and they have
identical goal-differences of minus 5.
Noah Mies seems to be City’s main weapon in attack and he
has scored their two goals to date.
This should be a hard-fought contest but there may not be
many goals in it.
