If Syson doesnt get atleast 4 weeks it's a joke after the way suspensions have been thrown out this season

Devonport play poor football. you can't hoof it all the time

Anonymous said...

They aren't as good as they were under Gallo for playing football

Anonymous said...

And they aren't the same players as under Gallo.

Devenport must be exhausted after traveling south 9 times in 11 weeks. I wonder how South would be faring of they'd had 8 hours of travel on the weekend for 9 of 11 weeks.

As a player I wouldn't want to do it.

Walter is it true that you were not included in the accredited media last night?

Devonport complaining about the refereeing in the northern paper.......karmas a bitch isn’t it.

South best team in Tasmania by miles

It was a penalty but thank f##k it wasn't a ffa cup refferee from the mainland.

A win it was but not convincing! South had plenty of luck but that's football I think when you travel off the island you may get ya pants pulled down by some mainland teams if you play that way. But good luck and enjoy the ride.

If Jayden Hey got 3 weeks, Syson should be in some strife. Disgusting behaviour. Poor sportsmanship.

Olympia you should be ashamed of yourselves to win a U20 final by starting a young player who pulled a hamstring only 2 days earlier
Poor guy lasted only 3 min in the Final before reinjuring. Short term thinking putting players welfare aside to win the Cup at all costs.
Who knows what additional damage that has done to the young lads recovery!!

Devonport have become the biggest sooks on and off the park in the competition complaning about anything that doesnt go their way
They have had to much influence over FT and had their way for to long
They have inconvenienced every other team in the league to get their own way with rostering around this final

No surprise that 90% of the crowd yesterday were going for South

Karma!

Please South Hobart fc don’t play FFA Cup at Kgv if you get home drawn. After Fft ridiculed Walter disgusting should all be sacked on the spot

South did have luck but so did Devonport. South should/could have had 2 maybe 3 before half time. South were lucky in the second half but not as lucky as Devonport in the first and overall South were the more dominant team with the better chances. Devonport just hoofed it long too often down their right hand side time after time.

Hi Walter
I am very disappointed to hear that you were excluded from the media contingent at the Laka cup.
An oversight I am led to believe. Oversight my arse. Football Tasmania have done a wonderful thing for my son ( Mike Edwards) but this is unacceptable an I think a public apology is in order,. especially when you read that the laka family are disappointed in the treatment of Walter.
This is just my personal opinion and not the club I am involved with and I know that there are many others.

glad to see beachside win.
they won their last three games in penalties. I hope this shows parents out there who think their child has to play at south, warriors and zebras, think again. there are coaches out there who can develop youth players who do it for fun and the child will probably have a better chance of playing senior football at one of clubs named.
some of those beachside players have already played reserves and senior football as I have noticed that some of the warriors players have played challenge, 18s and even 16s so I can not really see that as development for senior football

And beachside had the easiest draw all the way up to the final

Hi Richard. Yes, it is true. I received a verbal and a written apology today from FT officials in regard to me being denied a car park inside KGV Park for the cup finals. It was an oversight. I am not on social media but I have been shown Rhodsie’s article and the comments made by many people. I thank Rhodsie for his support and for the many people - former colleagues, friends and acquaintances, as well as people I don’t know - who wrote comments in support of me. Rhodsie always goes in to bat for me and I appreciate that.

I reckon FT should give him media accreditation as he does so much for the game and his site must surely be the most popular site covering football in Tasmania. He’s been there and done that, both as a player and coach. I recently found an article about him that I wrote in The Mercury back in 2000. Ken Morton, coach of Glenorchy Knights, tried to sign him from Clarence for $1,500. Rhodsie thought the transfer fee was excessive and appealed and it was reduced to $800. Knights wouldn’t pay it and Clarence refused to have Rhodsie back, so he was in limbo. My article said it was a disgrace to have such a fine goalkeeper idle.

Give him media accreditation, please, FT. We’re all in this because we love the game and have its interests at heart. Rhodsie and I and the media in general aren’t always right. But, we point things out if we think FT have got it wrong. There should be room for debate. To quote from The Godfather: It’s not personal, but strictly business.

I’ve put this incident behind me. Let’s get on together and promote this wonderful game. It has never had such media coverage. The more the better. The policy of FT should be inclusion rather than exclusion.

FFT a shambles. Is it true they also handed out futsal medallions to the female statewide winners?

Rhodsie is the most selfless person he does not get any recognition but every day he promoting someone or a cause on he's ,Page and at the football he is always approachable and tackles many issue like yourself .

Walter other will not he doesn't need Football Tasmania support he and yourself are football to us supporters of the game !
