Third-placed South Hobart take on sixth-ranked Kingborough Lions United at 7.30pm tomorrow (Wednesday, 28 August 2019) at KGV Park in a game that was postponed earlier in the season.
South Hobart coach Ken Morton said Declan
Foley would start but that Hugh Ludford would be rested.
Reilly Morton will come into the squad and
that was the extent of the changes, according to Ken Morton.
“We’ll be wary of Lions, even though they had
an off-night against Olympia last weekend and it wasn’t their best game,”
Morton said.
“Under Jez Kenth, they don’t have many bad
games.
“Their American imports are good and Jack Turner
fires up for them.
“We have a lot of respect for them, but we’ll
concentrate on playing our kind of football in which we try to speed up ball
movement and the quality of passing.”

Kingborough have had limited training because
of the weather and because of catch-up games which utilise the Lightwood Park
ground.
Illness has also struck the squad and several
players have been confined to their sick beds.
“We’ve been struggling to get onto the pitch
at times,” said Kingborough coach, Jez Kenth.
“The ‘flu has also struck and some of our players
have been in their sick beds.
“I haven’t been able to select a squad of 16
without difficulty, let alone a starting eleven.
“Horatio Gutierrez is injured, while Brayton
Allan and Joel Sammut have been ill.
“We’ll being in Dominic Easton, Phil Kantzos
and Simon Vivarelli and give some of these young boys a game.”

In the two previous meetings between the sides
this season, South Hobart have won 2-1 away and 4-2 at home.
This game will be on neutral territory at KGV
Park, of course.
The curtain-raiser at 5.30pm will be an
under-18 catch-up game between South Hobart and South Hobart Blue.
