University win Social Women's League 1 Cup

University won the Social Women’s League 1 Cup tonight when they overcame a 10-player Kingborough Lions United side 7-0 at KGV Park.

University led 4-0 at the interval through two goals by Sophie Muir and one each by Tash Hinds and Alyssia Salazar.

Their first goal came from their first corner of the game in the opening couple of minutes.

In the second half, goals by Morgan Wye, Polly Tantari and Claire Farrell completed the victory.

In the Men’s Social League Cup Division 4 game at North Chigwell, Kingborough Lions United downed New Town White Eagles 4-2.

Goals by Michael Voss and Dylan Styles gave Eagles a 2-0 lead before Michael Stephens pulled a goal back for the Lions to make it 2-1 for Eagles at half-time.

Second-half goals by Stephens, Bruno Palermo and Graeme Ogier saw the Lions run out 4-2 winners.
