Visiting Japanese youth sides start with a loss and a win

Two combined select Under-13-15 Japanese teams from the Yaizu and Fujieda areas of Shizuoka Prefecture in Japan are visiting Hobart this week for a series of games against local sides.

Tonight at KGV Park, they played Glenorchy Knights youth teams.

The opening game ended in a 6-1 win for the Knights.

The second match, featuring the older Under-14/15 boys, resulted in a 2-1 win for the Japanese.

The Japanese teams will play the local Talented Support Program)  TSP squad at KGV Park on Wednesday night.

At 4.14pm, the game will feature and Under-13/14 Hobart group, while at 5.30pm, the Japanese will take on an Under-14 combined Statewide group.

On Thursday, the Japanese visitors will meet Clarence Zebras at Wentworth Park.

At 4.15pm, the Under-13/14s from Clarence Zebras will play the Japanese Under-13/14 boys, while at 5.30pm, the Under-15s will be in action.
