This was a
home game for Clarence United as Wentworth Park is not yet open fro football. But, even if they had been playing at home, Clarence
would not have won.
They were
missing the suspended Paul Bremner, but it’s doubtful that even he would have
had a prescription for victory.
Demar
Odaine is almost becoming a player of mystical stature. We are told he will soon be here to join
Clarence. I guess we’ll just have to
wait and see.
It’s sad to
see an NPL team such as Clarence so out of its depth.

They were
drowning as early as the 8th minute when goals by Tobias Herweynen
and the newly returned Darcy Hall had given South Hobart a 2-0 lead.
If it wasn’t
for goalkeeper Jake French, the final score in this game would have been much
higher.
By half-time
it was 8-0 as Jack Turner and Nick Morton added to South’s tally, Chris
Kannegiesser deflected a shot into his own net, and Hall completed his hat-trick
and added his fourth for good measure.
The rout
continued after Mt White’s whistle started the second half.
Turner
completed his brace with a goal in the 51st minute, while substitute
Ben Hamlett made it 10-0 three minutes later.
This was definitely shaping up as a Shakespearian tragedy.

Frenchman
Loic Feral weighed in with goals in the 58th and 88th
minutes, either side of Hall’s fifth for the game.
Alex Leszczynski came on near the end. He didn't manage to score, but he didn't really need to by that stage.
I think
everyone was pleased when the final curtain came down.
Former Hobart Zebras winger Iskander Van Doorne is set to arrive back in Hobart on Thursday to join South Hobart, but where will they fit him in?

Would not think they would need him as Darcy hall is twice the player.perhaps challenge league or loan him to clarence
Surely any player who is left out of the team for Isky who is only here for 3 months will be straight to another team. Wonder what the players think about his wage since they dont get paid at south????
Probably dropped down to keep stock piles high.and told your one for the future
