Knights awesome first half result could have gone either way.think it's anybody's title not much between sides.it could go down to coaches tactics & subs pressures on

Why are playera so against playing for Clarence? I get how the club has been run in the past but Warren is there trying to change things. I applaud the likes of Kenan Douce, Jacob Brennan etx. for moving from South to get regular playing time. Why is there still players of NPL quality playing reserves for South, Zebras, Olympia etx. Clarence being beaten 8 or 9 nothing every week does nothing for this league or Tasmanian football. Getting ris of them won't fix anything because whoever replaces them will be beaten the same. Watten is a qualified and dedicated individual players should give him a chance instead of viewing Clarence as a whole.

Was not at Kingborough last night but “ oh my goodness”! What a disgrace. The worst team in the league thrashed by the close second worst team. FFT should have done something . Too late now that the season has begun. Would not surprise if Clarence pull the pin and if they do then the blame must rest withFFT

Lucas Hill should have been escorted from the pitch under a big red banner. There is no room for this type of aggression in any sport. Football Tasmania - Is it too late to revisit this man’s action?

Clarence should have gone down everyone new it as eight npl was the strongest. But one person thought otherwise at fft .clarence need total restructuring get coaches set your academy up so you produce players as in future if lose players you’re always have a backup & not be left with nothing.plus brings ln $$$

Clarence problems were there all to see when they joined NPL - the Board has huge issues, they mean well and are nice people but well out of their depth.
Shows the NLP league should stick to 8 teams - 5 south/2 North/1 NW

Lucas Hill has a shocking attitude. Ever since he returned from overseas his attitude has been poor. He had an arrogant attitude towards others . Pity because he seems to be nice guy but his antics on the field are not acceptable. There are one or two others in the same team with similar attitudes.

This is a load of crap, ask players from all the other teams and they all love Lucas! I know because I am one! He plays with his heart on his sleeve but is no where near arrogant, in fact he has an exceptional attitude that others should look up to

Keep it coming people. If you cannot beat us on the field you attempt to undermine us all on social media. Continue at your own peril. Our boys will continue use this as motivation.

Have nice day.

To mamaccas

Hill should not have been on the ground after his "assault" on Brown. There is no defending that. Did you take the time to listen to your own Coach's comments after the game...

Olympia Warriors coach, Rob Clarke, said:

“I’m not very happy at all. I’m not happy at all. We’re much better than that. If we play like that, we’re not going to win many games. That was a shocking performance. Shocking.

“[Our keeper] made a great save [at 1-0 down] and it would have been 2-0, and they would have deserved it, too.

“We’ve done everything possible. We treat these guys like kings, these fellows. They get looked after with everything possible to make them play well and today they just weren’t good enough. If you want to play for Olympia, then you don’t play like that.”

Well, I hope that motivates them!

You treat your guys like kings, he said and look after them so they can play well - maybe that is why Hill is so arrogant or could it be the way you display yourself - have you even seen the recording of your tirade at the Devonport game???? Money doesnt maketh the man.

Have a nice day.

I love how last year when Olympia weren’t performing well they were hardly getting any slander on social media platforms, now they look like a title contender the crap has already started! The fact they played poor and still won 3-1 says more about knights than it does Olympia!

Anonymous said...

What about nowickis multiple ‘assaults’ on Olympia players, the guy needs to step off the pitch and into a ring! Don’t know what he is trying to prove?

Anonymous said...

Knights quickly forgot how they got their money... I think maybe they should be treating mr Mamacas with a bit more respect! Most of them probably don’t realise or are too ignorant to realise if it wasn’t for George they wouldn’t be in the position they are!

Mamacas said...

Thank you for your sincere and kind words. I shall take it all on board.

Money does not maketh the man but gives a man more options.

cheers

Does your girlfriend have a crush on Lucas or something? His job is to look out for his team mates and be a physical presence. Brown clearly wasn't affected by the 'altercation' and there was nothing in it. Maybe your comments could have some legitimacy if you had a genuine knock on his footballing ability or leadership. You should return those grapes, they must be sour.

Anonymous said...

George you should stay off the blog as your replies sound like your bigger than your ego. I think it's great what you've done for football but you cant help yourself from commenting. the best comment you can make is not to comment at all.

Dear Mr Anonymous. Thank you for your concern however:

I stayed off the blog in 2018. I did not have any fun.

Surely I am entitled entertainment like everyone else?

This for me is wonderful entertainment and a lot of fun.

Firing up the punters giving them a reason to have a crack at me

for me is pure fun and enjoyment good or bad it is all entertainment to me.

A bit like watching tv. Also I do enjoy reading my name.

It makes me feel loved and needed.

The facts are these: Lucas Hill should have been sent off for an attempted headbutt on Brown, Olympia's second goal was offside and their third was a lucky deflection. Olympia's full strength team narrowly defeating a weakened Knights team with a bit of good fortune. Knights to only get better, arguing and ego's already causing problems at Olympia.

Anonymous said...

Unfortunately, money does not buy knowledge or understanding of football and certainly doesn't buy grace or decorum. If you can't see the worrying signs of Olympia already then you are delusional. A lot of work to do based on your last 2 performances if you want to be challenging for the title this year.

Anonymous said...

You should read up on the rules, the ball took a deflection off a knights defender hence why it wasn’t offside! Knights really have a status issue, they want to be considered as a big club up there with Olympia, south, zebras and Devonport but the truth is that no one really thinks you are that good! I watched the game as an outsider and if Olympia played like they did against south vs knights it would have been a thrashing!

Anonymous said...

A common mis-perception of too many players is that a deflection automatically plays a player "onside".

Read the Laws of the Game - it does NOT.

The referees would have known that and so the issue becomes was the Olympia player in an offside position when the ball was played forward.

Anonymous said...

The linesman made no comment of a deflection, simply said he was level - which was clearly not the case. Knights made it to the laka cup final, they have beat South Hobart in pre-season friendlies over the past couple of years, went to penalties with olympia in last year's laka cup so they can't be as bad as you are making them out to be, certainly more than a number of NPL clubs have managed to do. If you watched as an outsider you would realise that Knights did not allow Olympia to do what they did to South Hobart.

Mamacas 8.25 am 15/3. The only reason you stayed off the blog last year was that you had nothing to blog about. Olympia’s performance last year was pathetic and a folllow on from the shambles of the period of the huge influx of champions from elsewhere , many of whom are no longer at the club. You had no reason to gloat. That was why you stayed off the blog.

Anonymous said...

You mention reading up on the rules of the offside, I notice no mention of the rules in regard to the attempted headbutt.

Re comment Mamacas 8.25am 25/3.
Remember, we have only just completed Round 3. Mamacas surely cannot comment they can win the league at this point. Anything could happen. I have just looked it up and most if not all “imports” left the club last year and the same will happen this year. I also heard many of their youngsters have walked out too. Something is obviously wrong with this club. Maybe they don’t treat them like kings afterall.
