Photo: A closer view of the peregrine falcon. As you may have gathered, the peregrine falcon, the fastest creature in the world, is my favourite bird. I photographed one yesterday above Warrior Park [see Saturday results]. I'm sure they must be football fans [LOL]. This one was preening itself and sat in that same spot for the entire match this morning. A flock of pigeons flew past at one stage. Pigeons are a favourite prey of peregrines but this one ignored them. It was probably more intent on what was going on in the Clarence Zebras v Glenorchy Knights girls' game far below. Oh, and those lights. If only we had six such towers around the perimeter of KGV Park! [PlessPix]
